I'm starting to think China is the new 80's japan guitar building wise. In the 80's, Japan used to produced cheap but high quality guitars for half the price eof an American one. The top tier stuff made in China noway day is certainly as good as some Americans guitar for less money (Squier classic vibes, some Ibanez, jackson...)

a heat gun and careful scraping usually will remove most factory guitar paint, and in large sections, very quickly i might add , if you're carefull , you can try a plumbers torch, but it can burn the wood if you leave the flame in one spot too long, try it on something that doesn't matter so much and experimen with it
@scottdahlberg48903 жыл бұрын

The crackle effect looks awesome! I wonder if some of the crackle will flake off or full adhere to the basecoat paint. I might try it for my next guitar build. I do have a question about Frankenstrats. Do you use a capacitor across the volume potentiometer?

Next time you try the crackle with a rattle can set your compressed air up with a blower regulated down to around 5 psi or even less ( filtered and water trapped ofcourse) . lay your crackle on wet and then blow it to force the crackle and they will turn out bigger AKA older charvel etc. Maybe not as big as a gun but quite a bit bigger than your first attempt. I imagine you are using montana crackle cans . The best stuff to spray through a gun is from the uk think it is custom creations paints.

Wondering if anyone could help. I gave my Kramer baretta special a make over with candy apple red and black crackle. Unfortunately it came out uneven. It did crackle but its weird as its larger crackle is in some areas and smaller in others. I'm stuck between buying more paint and starting again or just leaving it. It's becoming rather costly. Just wondering what I've done wrong as I gave it an even spray and good coverage.

You are selling the Tyger Rhoads at the same price of a brand new RR24q that is an hight quality guitar. In my oppinion its crazy money... I want to support your channel and videos, but ill be honest in what i think you need to inprove. I think you should put better components in your guitars. The killswitch its not important, imo, and i think with your knowhow, and your tools and conditions, you could do the cases with a better and professional look, instead of that self made look. Also, i think the splatter finish in the sases sucks. Makes it look dirty. i hope you read this as a positive feedback for you to improve! By the way, i have subscrived. Cheers from Portugal

Your work is very Nice looking but I cannot afford $1,000 plus for a rebuilt recycled Guitar ?? Not when I can buy a New Schecter for under $600 dollars . Budget Guitar's in the $500 and under price Range that look , sound , play and feel like Custom Shop Guitars are what's popular these days . You don't have to pay a Grand for a Excellent Guitar these days . I understand your work and time put into these Guitars but the Market you want may not be there . I will take a dented Reliced looking Guitar for a few Hundred rather then spend that kinda cash . I'm in no way Insulting your work and Artistry . But there are lots of Guitarists like myself over 35 years that cannot Justify the Pricing . Good Luck . Maybe you can do some Guitars for Players who just want a good playing , working and decent looking Guitar ???
