I hadn't seen anyone add the paper to the back of the arch but that totally tied it all together. I've looked at so many and thought it needed something, but never knew what the some was !!! Gorgeous I have a question about the crisco. When you add the next paint, do u just paint through the crisco?? Does it smear it and thats ok?? I'm fascinating and have to try this. Hi Charlotte D! Yea, after I finished painting the arch, I was like..."it's missing something!" I didn't want to pull out my scroll saw and cut a wood backing, so I thought card stock would work perfect! On frames they use a natural kraft cardboard backing to finish it off, so why not! Anyway, to the Crisco question...let me just say Vaseline is what most people use. Crisco is a little lighter (that's all I had at the time), where Vaseline is thicker and is the ideal product. With that being said, yes...you smear your Crisco (or Vaseline) in the spots that you want the paint to come off. As you are painting over it...the paint will just smear, because it's going over a greasy substance. I gave it just a few minutes for the other areas to dry a bit and then with a paper towel rubbed on those areas that had the Crisco and the paint came off. But, yea...it will smear and it's totally ok! If you have any other questions...don't hesitate to ask!

Hi Deborah!! So glad you found my channel! You know....I'm sorry! I normally do leave a list of the brand and the color of the paints I use for my projects. I went back and looked in the description and sure enough.....I forgot to do that, so my apologies. Here's what I used: TRAY- White flat enamel spray paint, followed by Annie Sloan paint in a Coco made into a wash. VASE for Topiary-Graphite by Annie Sloan followed by French Linen. WINDOW FRAME-Black Flat spray paint, followed by Behr Pure White (Paint & Primer), then finished with both French Linen & Coco by Annie Sloan. Hope that helps and I'll make sure to always check that the supplies are there in the description from now on. Thanks for letting me know! I appreciate that! Hi Kathy! Sweet Annie comes out in the Fall....it has such a wonderful Fall smell! You'll see it at Vintage Markets a lot. They usually sell it in bundles. You can make wreaths from it or put it in pails to decorate with it. It's AWESOME and I absolutely love the smell of it!!! I plan on getting some more of it this Fall!!! Can't wait! I figured since a lot of frames are finished with a kraft kind of paper on the back....why not cardstock?!?!? So, I went for it and it was exactly what it needed!!!! AwHHh....Thank You, Nicole Capote!!! Yea, you can pick up those trays so cheap, and after you're done...you can sell them for like $20-$24. They are so worth buying! Anyway, I used the font called, Jupiter. It's like my favorite fonts! It was from a font bundle that I bought on Etsy. The seller's name is: KAFontDesigns and I believe it was in the Farmhouse Font Bundle. Hope that helps! XOXO
