Designed to the Nines, if your lamp shade when taken apart has wire at the bottom of it I use that for wreath forms 😉. They are often the perfect size and shape! Hope that helps!

As soon as I saw that cubicle organizer shelf I knew you had to get. It's so much like the ones you made you table from. I actually had a really good idea on something you can make from lamps shades, so maybe hang on to it for a week. I plan on making one for spring and Easter DIY open invite hosted by Heidi Sonboul later in the week. Loved the lamp posts.

Recently, I was thinking about your first lamp post project as a solution to a problem I encountered a little over a week ago while working on a Mardi Gras fundraiser for a local nonprofit. We needed to put up directional signs (to restrooms, to raffles, to auction, etc.). I made the signs, but then we had no place to put them because we couldn't put them on the wall. It was too late to do anything really good about it but afterward, your lamp post came to mind. It would be a perfect solution to the problem. I have a year to come up with the solution. I have a year to look for components- post, lantern, etc. - I am thinking that starting with a suitable floor lamp might be a good thing. Thanks for the inspiration!

Yes!! More patio/pool ideas to brighten up the space...we also have a backyard pool...and is ALL brick pavers at the moment, surrounding the whole pool deck area...(but not enclosed as yours is) as we are in B.C. Canada...am excited for summer!

Love love love the Lamppost, they look amazing by your pool! But WAIT... Save the Shades and brake them down for parts, they probably have metal rings in them. You can use them to make something else like a Macrame wall hanging or a Wreath, you are so talented and creative and that's why I love you and your channel!!! Blessings to you and your family! 💜

I just made these and absolutely love them. Like you, plants don't do well for me so instead of flowers I used white rocks, 2 small low maintenance hen and chicks per black planter. I will add silk autumn colored flowers next month. Thank you so much for the easy and economical project.

These lamps are adorable! If I can't find lamps them I'm just going to do the urns with flowers for around my pool. Nice pots are very pricey You are so adorable with your "success " face! I have those exact lamp shades on some very ugly lamps that came with the house. When I find replacements they will be garbage.

I turn old lampshades into cloches to protect plants in my garden by taking off the material and covering frame with chicken wire or deer netting

Hope Thrift is the best. I have found so many treasures there. There are two other Hope Thrift stores one is on 92 in Kissimmee and the other in Dundee. Another great thrift store is Give Thrift in Davenport on 27.

Your violets are also called Johnny Jump Ups. My grandmother had them, too. Violets were my sister’s favorite flower and I think that was because of my grandmother’s. Just one thing, have you heard the expression ‘shrinking violet’? They don’t like full sun. Kind of like pansies, which thrive in the fall, they like cooler temperatures. I really like your lamp post /planter and you sure did do well on the price. Those lamps were such a great find! You did a beautiful job 👍🏻😊🌺
