Very well done!!! Theres so many things to be said about how creative and inspiring you are. I admire the creativity and appreciate every time you rescue another good item from the dump. It's such a responsible thing to teach people to stop and look around and repurpose things. I haven't ever liked "cookie cutter" living--everyone has everything just alike. It's great to be an original!! CONGRATULATIONS on those numbers going higher and higher!!!

I have my grandmother’s typewriter table, and another one I picked up from Goodwill. I’ve been using the Goodwill table as a small project table to paint, glue and whatnot. My grandmother’s was still in mint condition, but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it. You given me some good inspirational ideas! 💡 💡 💡Thanks!

You are so lucky that your husband enjoys this journey with you. As great as my husband is he cringes when I say, “ I have to show you something I saw on either you tube or Pinterest.” 🤣 most of the time he’s a good sport. Kudos to your hubby for being so supportive of your dream!!!
@trinelangohr66615 жыл бұрын
My husband is worse... whenever he sees something he likes in the street trash, he tells me "There's a great heap of street trash outside, I know you like street trash!" - and then he's disappointed when I don't come home with the exact item he had his eyes on BUT DIDN'T MENTION because he doesn't want to seem like the kind of person who adopts furniture from the street trash. And they say women don't know how to communicate. Haha.

my hubby can I be a good sport sometimes. depends on how many other "projects" I have going at the time! usually he says something like, "what are you going do do with that?" or " do you REALLY need that right now?" but if I can tell him what it's for he will help me get it. or shake his head mumbling, "i don't see it, but ok.." He told me along time ago that he has stopped underestimating the power of my imagination. That if I can see something in something than it's there, I just have to make it so.

i'm new and have been binge watching and binge commenting. i have a suggestion...well it's more of a personal preference on my part. i watch a lot of how-to, DIY, and furniture make over / re-purposing videos, and one error i see people make is labeling their crafts and projects "cute, pretty, beautiful, amazing, fantastic, incredible, brilliant, great"...you get the picture. my philosophy is this: let the your skills, your artistry, and the project finished products speak for themselves. let us the viewer brag on you, and congratulate you, and praise you, and do the same for your finished projects. your energy, enthusiasm, know how, and craftsmanship speak volumes for you ... now let *US* do the rest. :-)

My jaw just hit the floor when I saw that bentwood rocker. I'm so glad you rescued it. I agree about fabric from the dump although some thrifted, garage sale or free treasures at the curb that have fabric can be really gross too. If I were at the dump I think I'd figure out a way to strip the fabric and leave it there. Here in TX we have big garbage days. We've found some awesome things at the curb just driving through neighborhoods to take home and make treasures out of them again.
@thegreatescapefarms68055 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing about leaving the fabric there rather than taking it off at home. It's crazy to me that someone would trash that chair in the first place, why not donate or even list for free? I am glad it was rescued and given a new life.
