Remember that broken disaster of an antique phone desk that Stacy and I found on the side of the road? Well today I am going to attempt to restore it to what it once was. I have never tried to fully restore a piece of furniture before, so I am kind of nervous. I have spindles to replace and repair, stain to strip and a ton of sanding to do. But if I can pull this restoration off, I'll be super excited. And if I can't pull it off...welp, it was free on the side of the road...I could always put it back.

@@ThisisRealLifeWithSheri your a riot!! That phone table was back in Jersey (NJ gal T) i don't know how it could have gotten to Phoenix. Lol but if it did i remember her sitting talking on the phone and watching her "stories" on one just like it. You made it beautiful.

@Linda-n - I know...isn't that phone so super cute. I just about died when Stacy gave it to me. The phone desk looks complete now that the phone is there.

@Rhondas_Flippin_Life - The best thing is...me and Editor John have been besties forever, so he totally gets my vibe. I didn't even have to tell him to put the song clip in because I knew that he already knew that the minute I said it...the song popped into my head too :)

Water vanilla n cinnamon in a spray bottle will keep the mesquites away ❣️

@evelynjolliff2799 - I've tried a ton of home remedy replants (did a whole video on it). But never tried Vanilla and Cinnamon. Is there a specific ratio I should use? I want to try it as mosquitoes are my nemesis.

@@ThisisRealLifeWithSheri I’ve also learned that yarrow tincture or catnip tincture are good insect repellents, although I haven’t tried them myself yet. I don’t trust DEET or similar because my ex, who was in medical school at the time, looked at the label and said, oh yeah, this has two known carcinogens. (!!!!)

I've come to the conclusion there is nothing you can't do!!!!!! My color Jacobibean....just did everything in my house n it's fabulous

@evelynjolliff2799 - Well...guess what? If I can do it...so can you! I just googled what color Jacobibean is and I like it. Looks like a rich chocolate brown. Might have to use it on the next project.

@lindaandersen3289 - I kinda amazed myself on this one :) But honestly...it wasn't really that hard to do. Sanding the spindles was the worst part...but it wasn't hard. Thankfully this piece didn't have a ton of repairs, otherwise I don't know if I would have been able to pull it off.

@mousebr549 - That bestie of mine never misses a video...love her so much. But honestly...she doesn't have to watch any of the DIY Videos I do because I send her a photo of everything as soon as I have it finished :) And yeah...you think we should be entering the colder months...but no, we are still clocking in at over 100 degree temperatures. Hopefully next week we'll see temperatures in the 90's...fingers crossed cause I want to get back out in my yard and finish it up.

@@ThisisRealLifeWithSheri You two make me smile! I'm in Ohio, not as hot as where you are. The weather hadn't topped 100 degrees but my air conditioner decided to die so now I have to call a guy. So I'm anxiously awaiting fall as well.

I have one in my 70s house. I made a humidor and I still sit there with a ciggy from time to time and talk/gossip with my friend who’s into retro stuff. I love retro/vintage pieces. My house is like a time capsule 😂
