Trashed Apartment // The Sims 4 Speed Build: Apartment Renovation

Story: a couple in the 70s moved into this apartment but it was haunted by a poltergeist so they left in a hurry without taking their things. The landlord can’t find anyone to rent the apartment and he’s too afraid to fix it up himself. Being in the apartment for more than five minutes freaks him out. No one he hires to repair the place stays on the job.

The poltergeist is from the person that was murdered (the outline on the floor) and it’s so haunted even the detectives that worked on the case started dissapearing. Eventually people forgot about the case, so it became a place where junkies hung out, but even they got too scared to go back so now it’s just trashed and haunted

You’re such a creative builder honestly I don’t even care if it’s functional or not. Usually for gameplay I prefer to build my own thing… but with you oh boy the visual pleasure is enough (sometimes inspiration). I LOVE THIS!! This is gorgeous! Honestly if you're up for it, I'd love to see a video where you take this apartment and design it as you think it looked before it got all messy, I think that'd be really satisfying and nice to watch!

Daamn, you're so creative!!!!! I can imagine a grandma who got depressed after her partner died so she couldn't manage keeping this apartment nice and clean so her kids eventually asked to move to their house. Also, I would so love to see like a renovation of this apartment, with kinda the same stuff but unbroken, like it could look like when there was still the two of them

I love how you made judicious use of T.O.O.L. to create even more realistic looks. This literally looks like an abandoned apartment, perhaps from an older Sim who died unexpectedly and the family hasn’t been able to get around to taking care of it. I don’t normally get Kits, but I am dying for this basement one, especially after seeing this build. Your creativity always encourages me to try new things in my own building in game, and I love the enthusiasm you bring to everything you do. A cute build concept would be a young couple who really like older style furniture but they can't really afford to move out into their dream house so they opted for an apartment and thrifted some older pieces of furniture thats run down and tattered but they make the most of it and try their best to bring it back to its original state this apartment is so cute!!

I love this build and I don't mind that it's not functional, it adds an extra challenge when moving in. I love playing reno challenges, like the inherited mansion challenge or DrGluon's house flipper, and I'd love to see you create a trashed mansion challenge yourself!

I absolutely adore doing run down, junky builds. I also enjoy doing a lot of low-income style homes that are well loved and lived in but a bit rough around the edges. Gives them a lot of charm and character!

Great build! I have made gritty, grungy builds before and they are lots of fun. I see this as a hoarder's apartment who always had the intention of organizing their place one day, but never got around to it. All of a sudden an earthquake hits and they have to evacuate. Too scared to come back to the apartment they ultimately relocate to another city.

i love this, your interior design and this pack really adds a dimension to the sims that i think was really lacking and now simmers can kinda develop this like … less crisp and idyllic style of gameplay that is so fascinating edit: that being said i would absolutely love to see more builds like this!

Werewolves last year, Basement Treasures this year, all the recent clutter kits-I feel like we've been getting a smorgasbord for run down/trashy builds. Just a couple weeks ago I was yearning for more variety in cardboard boxes and bemoaning the lack of old clunky TVs. (It's too bad that really chunky one isn't functional.)

in my head I see this apartment as a grankid got adopted by his/her grandparents, and once gramps died, they took care of gran in her old age, and once she died, this grankid sim has just been living in the apartment, not taking care of it or themselves, and you as the person playing either gotta decide am I gonna fix this home up rags to riches style, or are you gonna be an evil sim and let it get worse and do other nefarious things. I like the rags to riches idea cuz who knows where that could go

This is an awesome build. But imagine being the great grand nieces/nephews who end up cleaning this out because the great aunt hoarder never had kids and grandma is too old to do it and her sibling has finally been forced to accept that she can’t live independently anymore, and they all knew she held onto things, but didn’t realize she was actually living like THIS because she wouldn’t let anyone visit in her apartment. And that’s probably a way more depressing take. Maybe a squatter took over and the landlord just got them out and found it like this. I like to build both nice things and trashed things! My favorite trashed thing I built was an old closed down gas station that two sisters were hiding out in, they witnessed older sisters boyfriend do something criminal and were in danger so they ran, but younger sister doesn’t realize older sister is also a criminal and is using their hiding place to launch a mob takeover.

Story: grandma spent money on junk after her husband died and kids moved out buying furniture cuz she was trying to distract her self and lost all her money not being able to pay her mortgage losing her home then bringing her stuff to the apartment and passing away there haunting it and her daughter put her ashes in there as she was going to fix it up but it was too overwhelming so she just stopped going and just payed the rent monthly although it sits vacant
