@diogomelo78972 ай бұрын
4 beverages is too much, but 3 is good. You have coffee/tea and juice while you're eating, and you drink the water when you're about to leave, because the water in the hotel restaurant is always in a better temperature compared to the one you'd drink in your room.

A kuudere isn't emotionless, a kuudere doesn't understand emotion. According to hideko anno's direction to Megumi Hayashibara anyway
@lizardasslick3 ай бұрын
for me kuuderes just were characters meant to present a cool and stoic demeanor (I think that's where the name "kuu" came from, but I could be wrong), but the facial expressionlesness often aggravates the insult of a character that already doesn't have a strong definition of a personality, for bad writing reasons, I think
@ms.burner90923 ай бұрын

Like with the tsundere archetype, the meaning for kuudere changed over time. It used to be a combination of "cool" and "dere" which refers to a person who is coolheaded to the point they rarely show emotion and only opens up when they feel emotional closeness with a character. Over time, more characters get introduced with enough similar characteristics to be categorized under the kuudere archetype that the meaning itself changed. Some kuuderes don't understand emotion, some were numbed, some were still the classics. Source: I'm too lazy to find it so let's just say I made it the fuck up.

Evangelion the show isn't pretentious, but a lot of the fans 100% are... Evangelion fans are like people who love modern art, they will watch a man hang a toilet seat on the wall and overanalyze it to try and draw out the most divine life altering meaning from it. No the still frames in EVA are not intentional to make you feel whatever way and reflect on why mercury is in gatorade. They either got lazy, or had to save budget... This is why Eva fans are seen as pretentious, because they come in with this attitude that the show is 100% perfect and any criticism will be brushed away with either a "you just don't get it" (literally like the Rick and Morty meme...) or some asspull reasoning for why the flaws are actually intentional... As a show and as an anime, Eva is not that good... Sure you can analyze the hell out of it and try to use it as a way of understanding the psyche of the author based on it and maybe you really enjoy that aspect, but that doesn't make it a better show. It makes it an interesting case study, which is something completely different...
@TheARESxGOD3 ай бұрын
Exactly this.

A show isn't good if you need to psycho-analyze the author to understand it. Saying Eva is the best anime ever is like saying Michael Jordan is the best baseball player ever. Michael Jordan/Eva is great sure, but only as a basketball player/case study of Anno's depressive mood and existential questioning, not as a baseball player/entertaining show. Eva isn't bad though, but it isn't good as well. It's mid.

I'm surprised no one said Ohio is famous for its Buckeyes, Ohio Valley pizza, or Skyline Chili in Cincinnati. I think folks in Cleveland must be living the Ohio memes. Cincy, Columbus and Toledo are cool from what I've experienced and heard. The state also hosts the national aviation museum. The trash taste boys would of liked that i think. Its a cool aviation museum. Even has an SR71 blackbird. Connor would have a good time at Jungle Jim's in Cincy. The grocery store literally blares loud monkey sounds out to the public and has the largest alcohol selection I've ever seen. They had local stuff from my state I can't get in my city

@@attabooiiYou find what you want when you travel. The boys have not shut up about Japanese conbinis. So interesting grocery stores are not out of the realm of their interests. Jungle Jim's is an experience as much as a conbini. They give out free cigars and have free beer tastings on Fridays. You wouldn't travel Jungle Jim's without going to Cincinnati, but I wouldn't recommend leaving Cincinnati without going. It's also very in brand for Connor liking monkey memes. The store blasts monkey sounds into the public which I think I'd funny walking up. As for the aviation museum, it's genuinely cool. There's nowhere in the world with as much aircraft on display. It is a unique experience as much as going to art museums in Europe. Connor talked about going to the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam a few podcasts ago or Joey visiting the Vietnamese Vietnam war museum. The aviation museum is no different.

1:05:00, Conner is almost certainly talking about a toaster oven (they are just a mini oven and don't need to be preheating). These things are like a godsend. For dry leftovers, these things are so much better than the microwave. For a pizza slice and bread and things for crispy stuff, sometimes it can taste almost as good as fresh (some pizza places even just throw pizza cooked in the morning back into the oven and a lot of people can't even tell the difference).

1. Ohio is like the vintage toy version of Akihabira because Kenner the company that made the original star wars toys and other things was there and it gets cold so a lot of indoors kids kept their stuff and now it's all for sale again. 2. People with Pika eat stuff like dirt, chaulk, drywall and talcum powder. Pika is a mental health issue where people think non food things are SS+ tier snacks. 3. Pink fiberglass doesn't just look like cotton candy but it also smells kinda like food when it's new.
