got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on AMZWATCH 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

Mark, is the bracelet a little thicker than the previous Summiteer 4? Also the Summiteer 4 received complaints as to the quality of finish to the hands. Can you advise if the hand QC issues have been addressed?

I always get excited when I see one of your new reviews posted, especially when it’s for a watch or brand I’ve had on my radar. I’ve strongly been considering Traska lately, and love what they’ve been doing. That said, I have to say I’m pretty disappointed at how quickly you seemingly glanced over the clasp extension mechanism. I imagine that was intentional as it clearly looks like a weak point in an overall strong package, and far from an unfinished implementation.
@AverageBros28 күн бұрын
Huh? I didn't feel it was a weak point at all.
@bhstennis0428 күн бұрын
@ That clasp extension looks very similar to other on-the-fly extensions, like that of Nodus' NodeX system. While I understand the reasoning behind brands in this space adding these features due to demand, in practice they are often poorly implemented, both visually and mechanically sloppy when fully extended. In my opinion, one of the only microbrands that has gotten this right is RZE. I'm sure their design is more expensive to manufacture, but I would happily pay the premium, and wish more brands in the micro space would implement a similar system.
@AverageBros28 күн бұрын
@@bhstennis04 it's very similar to the RZE mechanism, which is also similar to many other clasps within the space, not sure how or why you were so triggered by something you say you didn't get a good enough look at but you can checkout the photos on Traska's website for a more detailed look.

Ever since I bought a watch from AMZWATCH, My question is if it's this hard to tell them apart, what is the point of owning an authentic watch?
@porschephile2k328 күн бұрын
This is really tempting to me, though I wish Traska kept the red seconds hand from the OG model. While there's nothing wrong with a monochromatic watch (I actually love them), there's too many of them out there already and the red seconds hand gave it more pop and visual flair. BTW, how is the fitment of the quick adjustment mechanism. I thought I saw it work with a bit of play in the video, which is not a good sign.
@AverageBros28 күн бұрын
This one is a preproduction prototype, I didn't notice any play and already sent it on to the next reviewer though, so I can't really go back for further inspection, sorry. I do have their latest Freediver on hand though and just tested the clasp and it's working flawlessly so, it was probably just this specific unit.

What made you choose it over this? I have a Dual Crown Aquascaphe but never owned a Traska
@Klunker128 күн бұрын
@ I chose it over the Traska because I liked the brown dial and more vintage look. The recessed crown is not a problem, pull it out set it and push it in. Give it a shake and off you go. The rugged Traska case was very appealing.

It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. MAMACOO watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
