As a TBI survivor myself this hits home. My accident was in 2013 and now at 42 years of age I still experience issues very similar to her’s. I will say that my speech and cognitive abilities were okay after being in a medically induced coma for 9 days and finally waking up to what I thought was my normal self in the Brain Injury Recovery unit was definitely not myself and even to this day I feel like I am still recovering. Only at the 3:22 mark in the video, very exciting and emotional about how this video continues. Further into the video now. Much respect to her sufficient other for doing what he has been doing for her. I was in the hospital total time between ICU,BIR was 24 days. The fact she was only in the hospital for a week is amazing. My TBI was open and to be honest it was scary for me to wake up 14 post TBI. I genuinely feel for this lady, been there done that and have the most empathy for her. My TBI was from falling from 8 feet onto asphalt head first. Not to mention I had to have a craniotomy surgical procedure

Yeah keep going thru! 8 years on I live with constant head injury site pain. Can't sleep on LHS , can't run because impact puts me in bed for 3 days. Chiro can't help me sadly so I get a very mild asmr vicarious relief watching this!

P.C.S. is the worst I suffered it after being hit by a car my neck has never been the same and the debilitating migraines are ridiculous! Took two years of speech therapy to be able to speak properly again and developed a country accent in the process. I often wonder if this would help but your offices are so far away maybe someday though!

@@ashcash5035Thanks and I honestly don't know if I picked up the accent from my speech therapist or just a random thing that happened and to be honest most of that time was a blur! I do remember that all my words came out sideways and mumbled up almost like a stroke patient.

My husband has broken his neck/back THREE times. Not three breaks from one accident, three separate accidents different c spine, t spine, issues. He cannot find a chiropractor that will adjust him because of this. Can he even be adjusted with previous breaks? He is completely mobile now. He is just in constant discomfort.
