Hardcore has actually been rather chill for me on midpop. I play solo mostly and groups have so much more trouble coordinating, placing billions of bags, etc. I like to build next to lighthouse and fishing. Without a map taking cargo is super difficult unless you can scope it out early. Only got countered by boats which are easy to pick off. Feels a lot like Rust in 2017.
