Travel Day Sep 2021 | Manchester to Salou Spain | H10 Salauris Palace

Hi everyone! It’s #travelday
We are very excited to share our first travel series with you starting with our travel day vlog. In this week's video we make our way from Manchester to Barcelona for an overnight stay before making our way to our final destination #Salou. Sounds pretty straight forward but ... that would be too easy!
In this video we share our flight journey to Barcelona and a brief room tour of the hotel Gran Via. We had breakfast at Waffle Barcelona and made our way to our hotel in Salou the H10 Salauris Palace where we do a full room tour of the Junior Suite.
So as I was saying our adventure to get to Salou wasn't so straight forward:
Our train to Port Aventura was cancelled, a taxi would cost 170 euros so we had to look for an alternate route. We spoke with a member of staff who told us to get a train to Flix, looking at the route we could see it went through Tarragona and Vila Seca both close enough for us to get to Salou.
BUT at a stop way before these places a voice spoke over the tannoy in Spanish and I heard the word 'autobus'. I thought that can't be good. Finally the English translation came and yes, we needed to get a replacement bus!
We were starting to wonder if this journey would ever end and if we would ever make it to Salou! We waited in this desolate place waiting for a bus, told the first one did not go where we wanted. The next one that came in we were told (finally) would take us where we wanted to go so we put our cases on.
That's the end right? Nope! The bus nearly went without us and we were nearly stranded without our cases! Would this nightmare ever end? YES we managed to squeeze our way onto the bus and off we went to Tarragona. We decided to get a taxi from this point we had travelled long enough with this uncertainty.
When we arrived at the hotel we were blown away, H10 Salauris Palace is by far the best hotel we have stayed in and we can't recommend the junior suite enough.
It's now something we look back on and laugh, how could so much go wrong so quickly? But we made it and oh my, we are so happy we chose to come to Salou!

Fab travel day vlog guys, the hotels look lovely and how quiet was the plane, those cups didn’t look safe though, especially if you had a hot drink in them. Pity the travel plans didn’t go smooth but it’s all a learning curve. Looking forward to your next vlog already. ❤️🍷👍

Pining for salou..typed in salou vlogs and found your channel..I have to say I really enjoyed them.. roadhouse looks very good..H10 salauris looks fantastic.. definitely inspired me to get back there now the unclean are allowed in again..roll on September... cheers both of you

dont have a sweet tooth for my breakfast and then pours maple syrup all over it!!! lol fab travel day guys x we have got the train from Barcelona to Salou a couple of times and always had some issue with it!! we have stayed at the Salauris maybe 4 times but have never stayed in the Suite - looks like we might have to try it next time!!!

Ahh it took my fancy after some thought 🤷‍♂️ was proper good definitely recommend! We will be using the Plana Bus if we ever have to do it that way again they are really good. We couldn't find the suite anywhere else except direct through H10 maybe it's elsewhere but defo glad we stumbled across it!! Thanks for watching guys ✌

Yea it’s great to see you guys back! 😜🥳😎. Your immigration process was weird in Ibiza we didn’t have to go through the non EU area the Spanish are weird mainland diff to their islands lol 🤦🏼‍♂️. The immigration was crazy! Just to be asked 'are you here for tourism' is strange, I (Dane) bet the people working on the border feel silly asking too 🤣 It was a slog for sure haha we had a long journey anyways with going via Barca, but yeah 🤣🤣 definitely got on it as soon as we got to the hotel lol We didn't use the bidet hahaha wouldn't know where to start! Maybe next holiday We may as well be crying into our Dominos right now so you're right haha, thanks for tuning in though guys ✌✌

We love Barcelona! We’ve only been once and it rained quite a bit but it was still amazing. Travel days can be so stressful but it looks like it was worth it in the end, what a fantastic room! Can’t wait to see the rest of the hotel and what Salou has to offer. Great first travel day video guys 💜🖤
