Actually MAMAMOO made 30 korean moos pick a title track song. The choices were: Dingga, Aya and Chuck.. k-moos picked Dingga as the tt but the CEO and MAMAMOO feel like it wont be enough, coz MAMAMOO want to try something new and Dingga was a concept they already tried.. so Dingga was a pre-release song to hype up AYA as a title track

This is going to sound weird but I couldn't "hear" the song Aya when I was watching the video. I was overwhelmed with the visuals. So I had to listen to it without the mv to fully appreciate the song. It is a great song, so many layers. My favorites in the album are Travel and Dingga. Travel really encompasses the title, it gives me vibes of being on an airplane, or sticking my head out of a moving car, etc. Dingga is just a fun dance song. Mainly cuz listening to both those songs make me happy. Btw, I just heard that @RBW_MAMAMOO is now the 4th girl group in the history to surpass 100K sales on Hanteo in the first day!

I was surprised by Solar’s voice in Diamond. She loves Fever so I can see some references there. I guess you are more inclined to raspy voices cause vocal fry are used by both wheein and Hwasa as well but theirs is heard as a sexy version whereas Solar’s lack the raspiness. I personally like all memeber’s vocal fry moments.

Solar (more obviously) and Hwasa use it a loooooot for sure. Maybe too much for some people's taste. Hwasa also doesn't pronounce words like they're supposed to (hard to describe but she adds a lot of the "uhee" sound at the end of lines)

Solar’s is meticulous, I guess it comes from joining a team where even the rapper was more vocally trained than her. The dynamics of this group is so amazing. They blend so well yet have such a distinct taste and approach to music.

@@aznsk8erboi182 Yes even byul. 4 soloists and an amazing group!! Wheein’s voice is so soothing especially with the guitars. I love them all but I empathise more with Solar since my voice is similar to hers and being a little bit vocally trained in Indian Classical, I can totally understand how difficult it is to show versatality when there is no rasp to support. With voice as unique as Hwasa’s and angelic as Wheein’s, Solar trained so late and became belter of the group, that is so amazing for me, personally.

the only groups that hit me so much with just their music itself is BTS and MAMAMOO. I love these girls so much. A Wheein bias here. It's just that kind of music that you'll go back listening to. Tho AYA maybe a grower on me, the other tracks esp. Travel is a repeater 💖 I can't wait to save money and complete BTS' albums and definitely I'll be going to collect Mamamoo's albums as well 💖

Diamond is my clear favourite, I loved the textures and sonic depths to it. You don’t get many songs that unusual in the big kpop groups (you get it a LOT in the more indie kpop stuff though, like Yeseo). Mamamoo songs are just so well produced, even when I don’t enjoy them (like the ballad here) they still sound good haha.

Sometimes with pre-releases, they don't put them on the digital albums...But I'm 100% sure that it will be on the physical one. Just like how Dreamcatcher's Dystopia: The Tree of Language album (physical) has Over the sky but it is not on the digital album because it was released much earlier as a fan song and you could get a limited edition of it in concerts.

I looked up the lyrics for travel Moonbyuls part you reacted to seems to be konglish. 체리 감귤 비치 워터멜론 망고. Cheri gamgyul bichi ueoteomellon mango So "cherry, citrus, beach, watermelon, mango". They seem to have hangulified "beach" as "비치" which would explain why her pronounciation sounds a lot like "bitch", because the korean world 빛 (bich) means "light" or "shine" is written similarly and is pronounced *a lot* like "bitch" (which is why a lot of kpop lyrics use the word to dodge censors).

I listened to Diamond right after AYA actually. And as soon as I heard it I fell in love. It brought me back to 2014 when another girl group called f(x) was active. They were well known for their experimental sound and I just couldn't help but be reminded of them. I feel like these kinds of songs are something that almost everyone needs to grow into to actually like it.

Hwasa for President, screw the age and citizenship requirements. Picking a favorite song on a MMM album is like picking a bias in Mamamoo - it changes by mood and which one kills you on any particular day. Travel seems to set the theme for the album. MMM is trying to heal us emotionally and spiritually during a pandemic. As an actual musician perhaps you can tell me whether I'm right in thinking that Good Night doesn't resolve like you'd expect it to. I don't know which scale degree it ends on but it doesn't sound like the tonic. MMM has a history of doing that, which leaves you wanting more ... so I hit repeat and listen to the album again.

I lived in a beach side town in California for a year and Travel makes me feel like I’m driving down those beach roads lined with palm trees again. They did so amazing with making all parts of the song embrace the title concept.
