Oedo Onsen in Urayasu is a Japanese hot springs (onsen) amusement park located just about 30 minutes outside of Tokyo. For those traveling to Tokyo, you MUST take some time to bathe in the hot springs. There are also a lot of Japanese cultural activities that you will experience within this park.
If you are needing to take a break after a couple days of traveling or had several wild nights out in Tokyo, this is the place to go and take a relaxing day off while getting the full hands-on experience of Japan.

I visited in August 2019 and I'm so happy I did now that they closed. Such a shame really, they should get it back even if it is in a less expensive place outside the city.

That odaiba onsen shouldn't be closed, they need to reopen it, it's too cool to be closed down like that

I went with friends to the permanently closed one in Odaiba when I still went to school in Tokyo, before pandemic hits. Really want to visit these places again, so nostalgic for me (even if its just a theme park). Anyway, new subscriber ❤❤❤

Got really confused for a bit. Researching online shows this place closed down during the pandemic in 2021. Which made me disapointed since this video got me super interested (Planning a Tokyo Japan trip end of this year). But looking more into it, theres 2 Oedo Onsen in the area, this one, and the one that closed down in Odaiba. They are both pretty close to Tokyo DisneySea, so I thought they were one and the same. Doesn't help that alot of what I'm reading is google translated info, but the timing of this video being post 2021, gives me more confidence that the place still exists, and will be open when I vacation there. Anyone can confirm I'm getting my info right?

The one near Disneyland is still open! The one near Odaiba closed down a while ago.

Hi Thank you for the information. Are there any outdoor hot springs at this onsen that are not as hot as you mentioned ?

Yes! I think that hot spring we mentioned is the only hot one in Urayasu theme park. But other hot spring is not as hot as we mentioned!

why ???
@offtojapan
@offtojapan Жыл бұрын
@@kolohe8134 That’s a very good question. Unfortunately Japan sees tattoos as a stigma because of the Yakuza (Japanese mafia) who always had a lot of tattoos to label themselves as a Yakuza member. Especially in the past people were afraid of people with tattoos. But fortunately I think slowly people are starting to change and view tattoos more of an art rather than associated to a mafia group.

@@offtojapan Thanks, from Hawaii and know about the Yakuza and the culture due to massive Japanese population and Tourism. My 'why" was for the person who stated that they had a large back tattoo..Tattoos are a big western "fad" now, they change dramatically as people age and colors also fade..Not my thing at all
