I always pack only carryon when I can and I use 3 small makeup bags for my makeup. One for eyes, one for face, one for lips. That way I don’t have to look through a big makeup bag for what I want and the small bags are easy to put in odd spaces in my bag.

Holy moly, this has to be one of the best videos you've done because it's so much more than travel. It's a GRWM everyday makeup tutorial, and it was nice to see how you pair down products for the trip. My favorite part was the idea for storing small amounts of product and the bags you use. Lug also makes a “bag” for brushes…it stands up but closes to fold flat…brushes all line up in it rather than sitting in a cup-like container like you showed. The “bag” comes in 2 sizes. The one you showed was also very nice and, clearly, well designed .

Thanks so much for doing this. Living in a rural AK village that I have to fly in and out of just to go to the hospital, I've traveled quite often being the medical escort for my parents before they passed, daughter, my sister & niece. A great travel bag is essential. I ended up sewing & making my own bag with three.pockets that fits everything I need. I like the bags that you're sharing, especially the size of the brush bag. I appreciate you being here for me !

After a few decades with zero vacations, next year my husband and I will be going to Italy for three weeks for the first time ever and he informed me he doesn't want us to check any bags, so I can only take what fits in a carry-on bag. You and I are so similar in so many ways - I too and so particular about how I pack and what I pack. When flying, I for sure am not putting my skin care/makeup items in my checked luggage. I don’t like for liquid products to lay down so I packed my face and body skincare, dental stuff and medicines in a bag that allows them to all stand then I put makeup and brushes in a different makeup bag. I use as many travel size brushes as I have and definitely grab one of those plastic cups that hotels put near the ice bucket for my brushes. I don’t like them to touch the counter either. I use the other plastic cup to hold my tooth brush and toothpaste so it doesn’t lay on the counter.

Great haul with wonderful suggestions , love the ideas so my mascara or liner doesn’t smear under my eye always. I do think there’s to many products that are required everyday that you suggest to wear. Plenty women Need quick, minimal looks but yet offer a pop of a put together look . Makeup influencers need to remember We are dealing with a short time frame in the mornings and don’t have this time to devote to all this makeup added. Thank you

I always save small containers to decant into too but have never thought of using contact lens containers. I always have ones I've used in a drawer and was trying to think how I could repurpose them - so thanks for that idea! I travel a fair amount in the UK and have found clear cases for makeup are the best for me. Btw not sure if you have Flat Lay Co in the US but they do great brush containers. I have their animal print one at the mo. They also do those drawstring bags that you can open flat. I have one for my toiletries. Emma x

Clinique tinted face sunscreen is a great one as well. They used to have a light and darker one but only have the light one which I add extra Color to it to match my skin colour.

My key take, is a bar of Dove soap. It's my second cleanser, after my ELF Holy Hydration. It cleans your sponges and/or brushes too! And it's not liquid!

Great video. As a New Yorker I say hope you had a great time. Your packing is genius. Contact lens case? I love it! Question- my favourite contour is the Kevyn Aucoin medium powder contour. I’ve never been able to duplicate it in a cream contour. It’s just the perfect shadow colour. Any recommendations anyone? Great video!

The Stansout sponge is amazing for the technique you were mentioning. I find it blurs my pores and gives an airbrushed effect. I can also use it for touch ups by just pressing it over my oils. It gives you several more hours of wear!

I mostly have dehydrated akin badly like always peeling patches that aren't visible until i put foundation on. My nose gets super oily though so i use the Danessa blurring balm stuff on my nose and between my brows even when I'm not wearing makeup.

Powder questions for you. A lot of the reviews say the fenty leaves white. Can you do a short on finishing touch up powders? Does that Mac leave a color over the make up up already put on? What’s the dif between Mac and hourglass finishing?

I use the Allie Glines medium bag and it’s perfect. I’ve downsized a lot especially in hot weather travel. I sweat terribly so really no makeup during the day and at night I can just keep it to 1 foundation 1 concealer 1 mascara a few blushes and. Few liners and lippies. Where the weight comes in my luggage is all my other toiletries. At 49 I just want my stuff 😂

I'm off to new york memphis and vegas soon and know ots going to be warm, I want minimum make up so thinking of buying the lisa Eldridge skin tint to throw on over my SPF just for a little balance then a mascara lippy and out the door, well that's my plan not sure it will happen lol x

I've never found a single mascara that doesn't flake all over. I've used hundreds at this point lol. Even tubing mascara or waterproof mascara flakes. Idk why my lashes struggle

vacation is time to downsize make up. I carry 5-6 items only. This video was overkill for me. Yes I also have used contact lens case and tiny travel sample containers. This is also perfect time to use samples of in use products. Which I ask for when given choice rather than new product.

This wasn’t a beach, minimal makeup trip. We were going places in the city and wanted to look nice. So I brought everything for day and night looks for dinner and broadway shows, etc. 5-6 items is amazing! Foundation, powder, mascara and lash curler, concealer…. No blush or lipstick, bronzer or eyeshadow?? Nope! That’s no fun for me! I couldn’t do it. No way. To each their own. Glad that works for you though! 💗
