Does your friend have a pattern for the bag that she made for you? I love it. I might have to make something for myself.

As I’m watching this, it occurs to me that I tend to pack in terms of what I *might* use. But since m a firm believer in a limited palette, it would be better to pack in terms of *what I want to try.*. In other words, limit my choices, and then I’m forced to be creative within those limits. My travel art kit is pretty small already, but I still have too many choices in it.

One A-5 Strathmore, 400 series sketch book, two watercolor aqua-brushes,(pointed one and a flat one), a mechanical pencil (#2HB Lead), a pencil type eraser, two large clips to hold down the pages when it is windy, one fine point fountain pen with Nibblers black waterproof ink, small metal watercolor palette (12 half-pans of MungYo watercolor paint), a section or two of paper kitchen towels, and a small water filled spray bottle to wet things down. All fit very easily in a small bag with an over the shoulder strap. Might bring a white ink pen and a tin of 12 Derwent watercolor pencils if I know water may be hard to find/use. If I plan to be out all day and sitting may be necessary I have a folding seat with an over the shoulder strap. Still watching your videos. Still learning a thing or two by watching. Stay safe and healthy on your travels and have fun doing what you do so well.

A tiny add to your kit could be a white wax crayon (crayola?) to keep paper white

😂😂😂 its ok - I test drove one that my friend had for a 2 hour sketch and it was surprisingly ok, so I bought one. It is so light and small that I can put in my bag and not carry anything heavier - so that's what makes it win. I think a few people have tried it and been surprised by it being "ok". I am not going to say its any better than "ok" - HA! So if I spy a bench or something instead I will use that but this is better than sitting on the floor....

I really like mine. It’s small, but better than the ground or curb. I’m about 170lbs and felt pretty secure.
