Yes, as more and more passenger prefer to travel light because of baggage fees. Baggage is really easy. Just following the screen prompts and you are sone. It will ask you how many bags, and make you confirm that you comply with wight and content regulations. It is important to remember there still has to be an agent to accept your bags and confirm their weight based on cabin class traveled or other bag allowances such as airline loyalty status.

For round trip flights, does it print both tickets or do you need to print the other ticket at the airport your flying home from? And if you have 2 people flying does it print out everyone’s ticket?

It will print the tickets for current flights only. So for your return flight is printed at the time of checking in for that flight each person ticket has to be checked in and printed out separately.

Tie two colored ribbons around the handle to your luggage to warn others that this is not their luggage. People grab luggage at the turnstile and take it home before you ever see it. Use a man’s “half windsor” knot for the best look. Anywhere you put your bag, it could be grabbed in error. Example: overhead compartment, unloaded from the bus, at the hotel lobby, turnstile....

I always try to fly light and avoid check in a bag. AA is not my preferred airline so I'd fly AA only if I have no other choice

Yes, if it is a group tickets. Group tickets often come at a discount fare based on the number of people flying so it all depends on how the booking is done.

If it makes you feel any better, I've never had anyone waiting behind me because there are so many of these kiosk machines available. I usually however forget how to stick on the luggage tag so that's the one thing that I always call an airline employee over to do it for me. I always tell them it's my first time flying and I'm not sure how it goes.

Not necessarily. Once you put in your booking number or booking ID it pulls up your reservation. That's all you need.
