Great question. This is the one I ordered. amzn.to/3WNdxxt Also, if you don't have a brake controller installed in your tow vehicle this Curt Bluetooth unit works really well. amzn.to/3SSs7Ct

My wife and I are contemplating getting this trailer as it juuuust fits in our driveway (something we really want). My only issues with it are no roof vent in the front over the bedroom, and also the heat isn't ducted and just blows out into the central living space. Do you have issues with heat in the cooler seasons? Or does it get stuffy in the front during warmer weather?

No issues with heat at all. Heat the unit very well. It can get stuffy in the front in really warm weather. What we do is run a little fan to move a little more air. We are probably going to sell it wife wants something larger.

I have 3 kids and I’m torn apart between buying this 245bhs trailer or the 208bhs, i see this is 2.5ft longer would it restrict which campgrounds i’d be able to go to?
@ElectrifiedOutdoors3 ай бұрын
Both are good choices. The 245BHS will of course give you slightly more room. I don't think so...but of course that will depend on the campground. This unit is 27.5ft long so let's just say 28ft. Most campgrounds we have been to only have problems with units longer than 30ft on certain sites. So I would say, not 100% certain, but as long as you stay below 30ft you shouldn't run into too much problem. Once you get above 30 ft. then can can start restricting which sites you can use at a particular campground. The other thing that restricts you is electrical. The bigger units often have multiple AC units and require a 50 amp hookup. There are still a lot of campground that have mostly TT30 or 30 amp hookups on most of their sites. The 245BHS has 30 amp service.

We are contemplating buying this identical trailer here. However, they mention the refrigerator runs only on 12v and we don't ever go camping places where we can hook to shore power. Have you tested how long your batteries will keep your fridge cold on batteries alone?

Hi there...ours is a 2022 and it has a standard camp fridge. No 12v its either shore power or propane. The newer models may have 12v though. I would pull up the manual for the one your looking at and verify what it has. If the fridge indeed is 12v only, then I would recommend upgrading to lithium batteries (assuming the new ones still come with flooded lead acid batteries). Ours has 100w of solar (one panel) and I upgraded to lithium. The battery cost me about $260 for 100ah group 24. Then I upgraded the solar controller from 10a PWM to 15a MPPT bluetooth. I also added a temp monitor with networks with the solar controller. The new controller and temp sensor were about $150 total. So now I have a true 100 ah and it will not charge the battery when temps get below 40F to protect it (discharging is still ok). With all that said you need a way to measure your draw from the fridge if its 12v with nothing else in the rig running. Then its a matter of simply calculating how long that that rate of power draw you can run it before the batteries are depleted. Lastly, if you do a lot of off grid multiple lithium batteries and more solar capacity will help you keep things running. Our next rig will have 12v fridge and that seems to be where the industry is going now.
