Thank you Shiyun for taking me down memory lane thru your video. It's great to see Chadstone shopping centre, Vic state library etc. Went to those when i was studying in RMIT in the sixties. Played tennis on the clay courts of Melbourne uni. Btw where are you from? I'm from Malaysia 😊

Hi! So we stayed at an Airbnb for the first three days which was in the city centre (about 10min walk to melb central station) and it was around $400-500. On the last day we stayed at Travelodge Hotel Melbourne Docklands for one night which was pretty affordable (around $200ish for 3 ppl) and it was a nice stay as well! :)

@@syundiaries You got *squeezed!* Apart from the fact that you could've found a cheap motel outside the city, you shouldn't have paid a cent for your extra night of accommodation at Travelodge. Your flight was cancelled, right? So, the airline pays for your accommodation. I recently had the airport pay for my night of accommodation at a motel, which included a shuttle bus from and back to the airport. If you'd asked, they would've done it for you. But, you know...tourists. That, and some university kids think they have all the answers.

@@markv1274 Wow, you really seem to have a lot of free time to judge other people’s vlogs. Maybe if you focused more on your own life, you wouldn’t feel the need to tear others down. It’s pretty pathetic to spend your time nitpicking instead of doing something productive. But hey, if this is what gives you a sense of accomplishment, go ahead and keep on commenting. They’ll just keep on living their lives and enjoying their travels.

Hello there! How's melbourne? I've never been there before

As someone who lives here, the CBD of Melbourne is a shithole. See my comments elsewhere. This tourist missed *so much* in Melbourne. I always advise people who are considering a trip to Melbourne to stay away from the CBD. It's possible to visit Melbourne without going through the CBD, but if you must, make it brief. I see people like the uploader all the time in Melbourne: living on their phones, recording everything, bumping into me, then not even apologising. These people would do me a favour by staying away from Melbourne.

@@markv1274 If the CBD of Melbourne is such a “shithole,” why do you still live there? Seems like you have nothing better to do than trash your own city and judge others for enjoying it. Maybe if you spent less time being bitter and more time appreciating the good things around you, you wouldn’t feel the need to bring others down. If living in Melbourne makes you so miserable, you should do us all a favor and find somewhere else to spread your negativity. 😊

Trust me when I say that very little of this was worth seeing. Born and raised in Melbourne, so I know my stuff. A lot of tourists who visit Melbourne are clueless. For peanuts, one can take a day trip out to the forest or visit the beaches. These dolts just stayed around the central business district, largely a waste of time, except for a trip to Chadstone, which is just another waste of time. Melbourne is overrated, anyway, yet one could at least explore a bit more. These ninnies had four days in Melbourne, and let me tell you, they wasted the chance. They didn't even have the airline company pay for their extra night when the flight was cancelled. That just shows you how green these people are. Whatever you do, don't be like these people when you visit Melbourne. Don't be like these people when you visit *anywhere!*

Wow, four days in Melbourne, and this is all you did? Four days mostly wasted--and I say this as someone who lives in Melbourne. You took the Skybus when you could've taken the 901 and connected to the train--much cheaper, plus you could've made stops along the way. You hired an Airbnb in the city. You could've found a motel in the suburbs for less. Nothing says "Chinese tourist" quite like a Chinese tourist going to an Australian city and eating Chinese food. When I went to East Asia, I didn't go looking for a Vegemite sandwich. That "exhibition" in the library was...what, exactly? Chadstone Shopping Centre? A waste of time. Walking around in a big plastic shopping centre when you could've taken the Belgrave-Lilydale line and explored nature, or you could've hit the Sandringham line and explored the beach--and the shops there tend to be unique, not the same old same old that you find at Chadstone. Eureka Skydeck? Another waste of time, not to mention a waste of money. You can get a better view from any number of places outside the city for the price of a train ride. I only went up there once because a I met a Russian gal who was visiting Melbourne, and she was desperate to go up there. I was shocked at how much they charge just for a glorified elevator ride--and the view was disappointing. Notice I'm the only one in the comments section saying these things because: (1) I'm honest. (2) I don't impress easily. (3) I was born and raised in Melbourne, so I know where the good spots are located. Don't tourists do some homework before travelling, or at least ask a local person for help? Additionally, who the bloody bell goes to *Avalon* to go from Melbourne to Sydney? (Okay, this might've been something beyond your control, but still.) You could've grabbed the train for peanuts (for crying out loud, you were *looking* at them at 19:00 into the video) and explored the terrain between Melbourne and Sydney. In fact, I try to avoid the plane these days when going between Melbourne and Sydney, it's not worth it. Damn, this looked like a depressing trip to a depressing city.

It must be exhausting being you, constantly nitpicking and criticizing others to feel better about your own life. For someone who claims to know all the best spots in Melbourne, you sure spend a lot of time online bashing others instead of enjoying those places yourself. Maybe try stepping away from the keyboard and actually living your life. Also, it’s ironic how you complain about tourists and yet feel the need to leave your unsolicited advice everywhere. If Melbourne depresses you so much, maybe it’s time for a change of scenery. Or perhaps, the real issue isn’t Melbourne but your own negative attitude. Remember, no one asked for your “honest” opinion, and quite frankly, it adds no value. Cheers to hoping you find some happiness and positivity somewhere other than the comments section. 😊
