8:30 funny story. My dad got married in the Town hall you can see there behind Patric next to the colosseum and then after the ceremony we all walked across the square to drink prosecco whilst my dad and his wife had their photos taken. However as we were walking across the square it was so hot that my uncles shoe sole melted off and where the stones were so hot we was running/hobbling across the square, it was comedy gold. We all then sat in that exact restaurant you're in laughing and drinking. Oh I love Italy.

Omg I went to Italy just about two weeks ago and let me say that the colosseum, fountain of trevi, and the Vatican City you have to see if you’re in Italy! I also loved the gelato in Italy💜I was really sad that I couldn’t see the leaning tower of piza but definitely will go back to maybe the Naples or Venice :))

I am always shocked as an Italian to see how much tourists in general eat from crappy touristic places where I wouldn't ever have dinner and still say how tasty it is. Now try to think how good the authentic Italian cousine may be. Now think how hard is for us Italians to find something eadible abroad.

I'm going to Italy next spring. Can you please recommend a good restaurant in Rome and Sorrento? I don't want to eat touristy !

@@lotusssypringa it's not like I know restaurants in every city, I am from Tuscany. But main reccomandations: try to find restaurants far from main touristic attractions, look for streets where young Italians meet (in Rome is easy, harder in Sorrento that is mainly touristic) and look for restaurant where they do not have pictures of the dishes on the menu (NOT ITALIAN at all). Maybe harder find recommended restaurants on Google by looking in Italian (and then use the translator) for example "miglior ristorante a Roma per mangiare la carbonara" (best restaurant in Roma to eat carbonara) and let the Italians suggest you

@Marta B you are so right! I couldn't agree more. I have never seen a normal tourist eating properly, they tend to eat too much junk food, and when they sit on a supposed "authentic" Italian restaurant, they usually order the worst stuff from the menu and act like what they just ate was a dream ahaah. I mean, I could never eat those, my taste and expectations are completely different from theirs. I just hope they could really understand how to enjoy the real italian food (Mediterranean in general). and no, we don't eat bacon, nor do we eat french fries ;)
