Today is the 22nd.... so Happy Bump Day Jennifer!!!!! This makes me want to start a blog!! (I did years ago but it was just Picture-A-Day themed and not really anything informative or helpful to others - so I ended up kind of bored with it and ended up deleting it!) Scott's show sounded very interesting and how cool that it was a free event!

Thanks for sharing! I've written for BlogHer and wanted to go for a long time but it never works out. ha Shiftcon is another conference I really want to go to. I am going to Blog Elevated in September in Dallas. It's the first conference that happens to be at a time I can go, very excited. I'd love if you'd do a video about what to take to a conference now that you have been to a few. :) Also I really recommend checking out Blog Elevated, it looks like a much smaller, more your speed conference. I wanted my first one to be a smaller one. I'm an introvert as well so I think it will be nice.

I LIVED by "What to Expect When Your Expecting" for both of my boys. In fact my copy was "gifted" to many of my cousins and their friends. Everyone wrote things in the margins, blank pages, anywhere basically loaning their experiences for everyone to share and learn from. My book left my possession in 1992 and returned to me in 1996, 10-12 babies later. It's very helpful!

Next time you visit Paris, make sure to go get macarons at Pierre Hermé rather than Ladurée!! Trust me, Pierre Hermé macarons are the best. My favorite is the Mogador macaron (chocolate/passion fruit)

Hi Jen, I loved your style of filming and Don's "bye" was too funny! The conference looked overwhelming to me even just watching it. It looked so noisy, cumbersome to move around in and just huge! If I were going to a conference/convention, I'd much rather a smaller, more personal one as well!

Enjoyed your vlog adventures. It looked like a fun conference, its just too bad that they didn't plan out a better layout with the session descriptions. If there are several going on at the same its good to have an idea what they are going to discuss. And to help narrow down what you want to attend. Conferences like these you want leave feeling like you got a cup full of helpful tips. But I'm happy you shared all the things you did and saw. My mom and dad have conference kits set up so they don't forget those kind of things. I would really suggest it because I have one for volleyball tournaments and it really helps.

Thank you for sharing some of the conference! I think it's great that you go and open yourself up to learning some new things. And even if you don't think some of it applied to you (thinking the branding session), it's still new information and knowledge, which is never a bad thing. Very cool that you met Heidi Murkoff and got to listen to her speak in such an intimate setting!

-Meant to add, I laughed when you were trying to figure out the "big pen" pencil case and your reaction was less than enthused. It's funny how the reaction is different in different seasons of life. When I was pregnant (and school supply shopping in the very distant future), I'm sure I would have reacted the same, but now with a 7 year old, I was thinking how my daughter would love such a crazy pencil case!

So I know you are doing a give a way of the Shea Moisture. I love that brand but I know it is too heavy (because of the shea and essential oils) for your hair. Great for thick, curly hair though.

I am not shocked by the US maternal mortality rates sadly. Unless you have money to pay for insurance; there is nothing not even an aspirin. A programme in the UK showing US citizens travelling across states and have chemo whilst staying in a tent...was truly heartbreaking. Hopefully there will be radical progress made in what is supposed to be a first world country but the social divided is clearly too great. So many UK people moan about the national health service but at a basic level no one is excluded from basic health care.

The prenatal drink looks interesting. I've always quite fancied going to BlogHer but it would be hard to pick out sessions that suit you if the descriptions aren't clear enough. It very looks large and a bit soul less? I think it helps to have someone to meet up with as the big conferences can be a bit cliquey too.

LA Brown I don't necessarily think that was the issue. She has anxiety so I think the sheer size of the conference was a bit overwhelming as well as NYC being overstimulating. I think she did the right thing because she had the sanctuary of her room and when Don came it kind of grounded her.

Be really careful with those pouches. Even a tiny pinprick in the packaging at any point in the process, lets air in. People have cut open those pouches and found rotten food and mold. Because of the packaging you can't see any problems.
