Bonjour Clair, Je suis partie plusieurs fois à oman seule, ce pays est super sécurisant pour une femme. Vous pouvez prendre un vol et un hotel ce qui vous couteras moins cher qu avec une agence. Une fois sur place les hôtels proposent des excursions. Sinon sur Mascate vous pouvez louer une voiture ou vous déplacer en taxis. C est un super pays que je recommande à toutes. Bon voyage :)

I travelled to Muscat over Christmas last year. I absolutely fell in love with Oman. The one place I'd still like to travel to is Salalah in the very South of the country: palm trees along white sandy beaches and green valleys!

Oman is such an interesting country, with deserts (even with monsoon rains), mountains (home of the rare arabian leopard), beaches, old cities, a very well functioning and old irrigation system, and the beautiful and rich traditions of a real ancient seafaring nation that connected the Persian Gulf with East Africa, India, Malacca and China, long before the europeans reached the Indian Ocean... for me it is surely one of the top destinations in the world! specially also bearing in mind the wise and orderly political-institutional culture promoted by sultan Qaboo and the authorities, which has assured this country a prosperous, progressive and quiet life-style, far apart from the crazy materialism seen in the Emirates, the undemocratic system of Saudi Arabia, or the perpetual armed conflicts we see in Jemen...
