We do the same things when I stay in a hotel with my family. Make sure everything's clean no bed bugs wipe the phone and TV remote all that.

I don’t think you can see bedbugs in the dark. You actually have to pull back the sheets and look at the mattress because they’re usually in pockets, creases or corners of things.

Thank you for sharing your European trip. It reminded me of my own journey 50+ years ago with my husband when he was a grad student in Cambridge, UK and we hitched hiked via several modes of transportation from the UK to Amsterdam to Brussels to Paris. The only difference, we did this trip with our 5 month old son! So happy to share in your adventures - make memories and experience the world because you will have them with you for the rest of your life!

Amsterdam looked so beautiful and I would love to visit. They don't put all that unnecessary stuff in their food like America does. We need to stop doing it because I'm convinced that is why we have so many illnesses.

You can also catch a cold from eating food with your hands on the go or touching your face without washing/thoroughly sanitizing your hands first. Very common on the go. Sorry you got sick on your trip babes❤

Paris looks fabulous on you two. Amsterdam can be brutal. I always fly into Amsterdam though, as I can then hop on the ferry across to the UK with my dog (can’t fly with dog in cabin going into the UK, only out) my last trip in was after spending 6 mo in Mexico and I was heading up to Scotland the 1st week of Feb. I had no winter clothes (they were in Scotland) I spent 3 days in Amsterdam with leggings and a fleece short jacket. I’ve lived in the states in New England for years so I know cold. Amsterdam was colder and wetter than the UK ever was and the UK gets lots of rain. Kudos on catching the pickpocket on the escelator. I always keep my luggage in front and always a cross body bag. Theives have been known to reach across the escalalator divide as they go in the opposite direction and grab things. Also those RFID card cases for credit cards, debit and passport or even an RFID purse to protect identity theft. Theives have little devices the size of debit cards and as they walk by you they can hold it against your bag an dget your card numbers. When going to a cafe etc with a laprtop or table I use an old fedex business sized envelope. It just looks like your carrying documents. Prices in the cities are going to be higher than outside communities just like the states. Marcos is 100% on with the fact that Europeans prefer natural and don’t load products up with sugar and preservatives. Meat is not full of that either and no bleached chicken. Amsterdam and many cities have luggage lockers at the transportation stations and in main areas of tourist centers. I’ve used the ones in Amsterdma in the city center and they have security. I used one that you checked luggage in like a coat check so no one could get past the security. Others have big lockers again with security and you have the key. Sorry you had a sick day. The time difference does hit you and those sleep changes doe slower our resistance. About a week before I travel I start taking Airborn or basically loading up on my Vit C and maybe echinacea. I also keep it in my luggae along with a few packs of thra flu. The hotel concierge often have supplies. I hear ya on checking the rooms and I am always the crazy lady with my mini disinfectant can of spray and wipes cleaning everything. I carry my stuff in packing cubes and leave folded dresser items in the cube in my suitcase. Upon returning home I don’t unpack in the bedroom just in case. Yes, finding an Uber in many areas outside the cities is hard. You have to prebook a car service or ask the host for recommendations upon booking the lodging, they will often have a discount code. I’ve used Blabla car in another country traveling from city to ciy. Never take a gypsy cab or anyone who offers to transport your luggage even in the airport go to the assist transport station yourself or call for assistance on the help phone. Another city you might enjoy if you travel Europe again is Bruges, Belgium. Romantic, fairytale atmosphere and a chocolate lovers paradise. Beautiful beautiful vlog, and I hope you’re feeling better by now! That used to happen to me all the time, getting sick randomly, to the point that my sister would say I needed to live in a bubble lol. We’d be having fun and then boom, I’m pouting in bed while everyone’s out gallivanting. If you’re still under the weather, turmeric or lemongrass tea might be of some help since you like tea! I have an autoimmune illness that I’d like to fight in a boxing ring, so I unfortunately know a thing or three about feeling crummy at the worst times. Cold, flu, flare, rain or shine, turmeric & lemongrass have been an exceptional add-on remedy since my angsty teen years. I’m so, so sorry you had to experience being sick even for a little on such a wonderful trip. You’re so much like a little sister, despite the fact that I’ve never met you. I’m going through an interesting season of life right now, and your videos are like a light in darkness. We have similar personalities, but I’ve always been self-conscious about embracing it. Now I look at you and wonder why it’s always seemed so scary to simply be a kind person. You and Marcus are so lovely together, I’m sending many blessings and love, and you inspire me to smile more even when I’m feeling icky myself. ❤ Also congratulations to the graduate!! 🎉

You play uplifting music, and you keep it at a pleasing volume so it doesn't distract from the content of the video. Y’all deserve a vacation to. It’s amazing what y’all have done to your house. It’s beautiful there. We’re the fries 25.00 dollars? I’m glad y’all are making the trip worth it. I take the blanket or quilt off. They never wash those either. You have to bring disinfect spray. Y’all have a sweet tooth like me. The room in Paris is beautiful. Lol, boy us hotel workers does get do right in. I don't know but other hotels but where I worked at in The Bahamas we washed everything. Even the decorative throw or whatever that be at the end of the beds.

Went to Amsterdam mover 30 years ago and our room was groovy as well 😂 Cool thing was that we were very close to a church and could hear the bells on the hour. I was able to visit the Anne Frank House and let me tell you, I cried messy tears. It was a powerful experience

When I went to Paris, I too, took ALL the stairs up to the top of the Sacré Coeur, (after climbing the tiny winding spiral staircase up to the top of L'arc De Triomphe) in 1999 ....and even today my legs still hurt! 🤣🤣
