I am East London born and raised black and yes, cockney speaking. I remember singing 'My old man said follow the van' and 'It's a long way to Tipperary' or 'Show me the way to go home, i'm tired and i want to go to bed i" for choir practice in my junior school (I was the only black kid there (i remember being a kid pumping my little arms as i sang along...Long time ago but still know all the words), i used to go to Cornwall once a year for camping, knew a farmer who let us pick strawberries in his field every season, remember my late mum taking me to Harvest Festival each year with things we grew to share with neighbours (and nobody loved Celtic music more than her and nobody loved British boxing more than my nan)...And...I walk through London now and I feel like a foreigner...Just a black guy with no story or experiences here to incoming immigrants...They look at me with curiosity when i start talking and they here my accent....They always do that "Where are you from?" Question to which i usually answer "East End"...Then they usually go "No i mean, where are you from?" and i usually reply "East London!" We integrated, we became part of the furniture, not by choice we just, blended in without issue...I'm a black man feeling alien in the land of my birth only because of changing demographics and these people who couldn't give two fcks about the land, it's lore, it's hardships and it's joys. I watched reactions of England beating Switzerland today and my missus asked me why i look so down...told her "I miss my country" and i'm here on the island

@@kramrollin69 I sense the tone, mate. And Africa is not the only landmass on earth. I have no interest in africa, I'm not skin deep mate. The type of things i resonate with are not common amongst the many Africans i've met and indeed the one of worked with side by side for the past 6 years who's very much a mate. Folks like you tend to think just because someone is black they must resonate with what you resonate with, no room for individualism or personal interests that are outside some pre-established box...established by your own individual perception. Pre 10 years old is when you tend to find out what you like, what your into, what resonates with you as a human being...Since then i've seen many Reggae artists live in concert, was indeed part of the East London drum and bass scene back in the 90s which was full of blacks as well as everyone else, my business partner of mine is African and his 4 brothers (2 are actually Drs with their own practices both have no intention of going "Back to Africa" you might want to have a pop at them too not that they'd give a fck), I don't actually believe that all life nor all black people are originally from Africa which is something that has intrigued me for over 30 years and the out of Africa theory has long since been debunked left right and centre, but i get it, it empowers you , makes you feel good so you'll cling to it, I remember my Grandmother telling us at the dinner table as kids that her ancestors were always where they were and were enslaved from there, they did not come from Africa(this is well understood with more learned Caribbean's, some were transported from Africa but not all, they were already in the Caribbean (and Americas in small numbers/pockets), so mate don't come at me with that back to Africa bollox, i ain't that shallow and simple minded, i know what i like, i know who my mates are, and i know my direct life experience, you go stay their if you like no love lost, this is the land i love and the land i defend....As an Africa pastor i got on with said and I quote "Motherland, pff ha, many people are trying to flee that sacred motherland, huh? Pff"...Oh no wait, you lot have 'Akon' building 'Akon city' right? His version of Wakanda so I've heard...A-con...imagine. Meanwhile owing huge amounts to the Chinese who are exploiting the land through your saintly leaders mate...All the way back to Mansa Musa who famously DONATED a horde of African slaves to the muslim world...Oh yeah, i maybe cockney speaking mate but i'm very well versed in more than i care to put here...Born on St Georges day in King Georges hospital, you can do one!

Well said, London has welcomed Refugees and Immigrants of many different ethnicities for many years, but things have gone too far. Just as a guest, who raids your fridge, invites all his mates around who get drunk on your booze and puke on your carpet and sleep in your beds, then decide they will stay permanently. You cant deal with it yourself, the Police say their busy, so your only choice is to get some mates around. They get the intruders out,but your home is wrecked. This is pretty much how things are looking now, unless Government shifts its arse.
