This is what it was actually like! 行ってみたらホントはこんなトコだった! 【The Millennials🇯🇵ザ・ミレニアルズ編】 * The Wi-Fi was super fast. * Wi-Fiが爆速 * Who took away my bottle of green tea that I just bought while I was drinking a glass of beer in the lounge? * ラウンジでビールを一杯飲んでいる間に、買ってから数口しか飲んでない僕のおーいお茶を持ち去ったのは誰ですか * There was a messy room with a lot of luggage that clearly shows that the guest is staying for a long time * 明らかに長期滞在している量の荷物が散らかってる仙人の部屋がある * The bed was a double bed, and there were two pillows, but there was a warning not to bring anyone else in. * ベッドはダブルベッドだし、枕も2つあるのに、誰も連れ込んではいけないという注意書きがある * The name of that bed, Smart Pod, is so cool. * スマートポッドと言うベッドの名前が中二病っぽくてカッコ良い * The Smart Pod's alarm can force a sleeping person to wake up, as the bed automatically reclines and the lights are turned on. * スマートポッドのアラームは、ベッドが自動で起き上がってライトが付くので、寝ている人を強制的に叩き起こすことができる * The ceiling of the room is 2.3m (7.5 ft) high and the bed is 120cm (47 inch) wide, so it's spacious enough. * 天井は高い(2.3m)し、ベッドの幅も120cmもあるから広々使える
I like that they had a floor for women, it makes it safer for females travelling alone. Everything is so clean as well, and convenient. I wish they had places like this in the UK, sometimes you might just need it for a night and the little touches like the workstations and free bread in the morning are a bonus!

@@endoftime0 I know it's a difficult concept to understand, but "equality" does not always mean "the same treatment" In this case, helping women feel safe as a male would while travelling (well, at least help remove the fear of sexual assault, the other fears like getting lost that everyone has can't be so easily solved)
@bluecube6752 жыл бұрын
@@PandaCake978 I think the word you're looking for is equity, not equality. By definition, equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome. I'm not saying that having a separate floor for women is a bad idea; it's actually really cool to see. Whether we should be striving for equity or equality as a society is up for debate but I just thought I would share the difference.

Europe needs to take note. This is how clean accomodation should be. I've been to many places in the UK and even 4star hotels have grubby stained rooms. And your paying more to stay in these grubby rooms compared to what you pay in Japan. Japan just do it right, and they think about what the customer needs, I love all the lil touches they do. 👍

But our hotels are not worse. And their cost is much cheaper. They are also larger and more comfortable. They have normal-sized rooms, lockable doors and their own separate kitchen in the room. Own bathroom. A room in Japan is like a toilet cubicle. No privacy.
