To be clear, the mic should be set to full but not the piezo section using this configuration. Piezoelectric pickups tend to clip and make what’s known as the “piezo quack” when set at full volume. So Tommy has the piezo pickup blended to about half but the mic on full as regulated by the mix control. Then he puts the main overall volume on full.
