Hello! I have just found your video and channel. What a delight!!! I am new to journaling and seem to have fallen down a rabbit hole. My goodness, the journaling world is something else. I must plan a visit to Japan to see it all for myself and of course, to visit Amirisu. But you are speaking my language in your video!!! I am a knitter, knit everyday and have done so for years. I have been thinking how to have a record of each project, other than Ravelry, which I never update. Travelers company is the ideal!!!! At the moment I have been using Laine Notebook that they have created specially, but half of is included in the notebook is not needed for me and does not have space for creativity. Thank you so much for sharing your notebook I will be doing the same (will need to get another journal 😂😂😂 ) Happy journaling and knitting! Vasco 🧶

Late to the party! Your journal is so lovely, Mits! I don't have a hobby TN, but I periodically update my guitar progress on DreamWidth. I also write the milestones that I reach on guitar in my main TN. I would love to start a new TN to track my guitar progress, and to have a place for songwriting ideas. Knitting is the one craft that has always eluded me. I have some knitting supplies, but end up getting frustrated and quitting every time I try. I once saw a lady on the train working on a crochet lace piece on the train, and it was so delicate and beautiful. It is definitely a skill that requires a lot of time and patience.

I have an A5 journal for my natural dyes swatches. I cut out small squares, fit 6 per page which leaves enough room for details about what I used to get that color and such. My swatches are thin so a normal hardbound notebook is fine. A ring binder for your knitting swatches seems like a great idea though

I have a journal for my garden. It helps me to keep track of what grew well, when I planted and when I harvested. Your knitting journal is fun!

I'm sooo bad about actually recording my textile projects. At best I make notes on the pattern as I go, and make a few notes in my general purpose notebook. I can't let myself put knitting projects in time out for too long in case I forget where I was with them!

Your pronunciation of Musselburgh was more accurate at the beginning. It's a Scottish name of a city. When you see "gh" at the end of a Scottish city name, the word ends in an "-uh" sound, no hard "g" sound. 😊 As a fellow knitter and papercrafter, this was fun to watch. Thank you for sharing! As for your swatch dilemma, I know some people sew them together to make piecey scarves or blankets, some people have boards on their walls they pin them into as decoration, I give mine to my daughter as little blankies for her stuffed animals. I hope you find something that works for you that allows you to keep and enjoy them.

Thanks for the idea to stamp letters to fill in blank areas. I used it tonight on my journal page, and it looks so fun (plus I enjoyed doing it)!
