I have the same TN, But i am making my own inserts to cut the cost of maintaining it. I am very happy with the quality of the leather and will enjoy the process of adapting A4 and A5 products acquired cheaply, to encourage my use of it.

I realize this comment is kinda old but...if you live somewhere that there's a Michaels, their Recollections Travelers inserts fit in the regular size TN and they're a bargain! Especially with a 40% coupon (which they always have online!)

I love these notebooks 😍 I do not think the paper is a tomoe river paper though..and the tin clasp holds the elastics in the book and not really an embellishment.. just thought that might be helpful to know 😊

Thanks so much for posting this setup..it’s amazing. I am currently running a zipperpocket to put stickers in or clipping of interest, a monthly diary, 2 tomoe river inserts (1x by Etsy and 1x Midori - light weight paper) and organiser at the back to store papers, appt letters and some chronodex stuff by Patrick NG. I didn’t like how it felt before and was craving a new setup so thanks so much x

These can be expensive. I purchased one for about 9.00 at Staples. I purchased bands and additional inserts from Amazon. Saved a lot of money. Disc binders are just as flexible to use.

Lovely set up video. I'm a huge fan of the TN. Yo can get a tomoe river insert....it's #13 in their series....you get double the pages. I use it for my daily journaling...and it will take pen ink and watercolours well....though it crinkles with water....but I find that endearing about it.

I’ve been eyeing a TN for some time now, and your video popped up in my feed. I know this is 5 years old but if you read this, may I ask whether the metal bit on the top of the cover and the hole in the back affect your writing? I imagine it adds a certain bump to the notebooks inside…?

HI Christina!! For a structured planner, of course the Traveler's Notebook is awesome, but there are so many great alternatives for beginners who want to try it out without breaking the bank. Search traveler's notebook on Etsy or even go to Michael's or Joann's for a much more affordable price. If you are thinking about starting a bullet journal, grab any notebook that pleases you and find out the basics on bulletjournal.com. I like the Rhodia Dotted Notebooks, Stalogy 365, and Midori MD Notebooks! Others that are awesome are Leuchtterm1917 Dotted or Grid. I haven't tried it but want to get one soon!

Are you sure that i can use the second elastic band that already exists in the middle too? I want to put only 2 notebooks and it will be perfect (without use extra band). But i don't want to damage it. Thank you for your nice ideas☺

Technically the back band is just as usable as the main band. :) However do bare in mind that when you use the back elastic, the insert(s) on it might either shift higher or lower than the one(s) on front elastic, since the alignment is different. ^^ But if you don't mind shifting your books back in place, then I recommend using the back string to help ease the tension off the front string.

Acca Seed you probably could. I never tried it but I think it’s the same concept. Some people use the extra elastic that is used to hold the package together. If you try it let me know how it works!
