Roxas city capiz has the best scallops. This shell is the Kapis shell which you can decorate in windows a lamp or fixtures. It’s is very rich when baked with garlic butter or cheese. If you want it kinda light you can try baked mussels. Good video though makes me hungry 😂

The one you had with the first siomai/shomai is chili sauce, which is the defacto sauce for siomai/shomai at least here in the Philippines. So the siomai/shomai itself is not spicy but the chili sauce, obviously, adds spiciness to it. Maybe, there was difficulty from the part of the person serving you on explaining that. Usually, they put a certain amount of chili sauce on top of each siomai/shomai upon serving together with a calamansi so the customer can add a little kick of sourness if needed. I believe since you said you can't handle that much spice, so he only put the chili sauce on the first one.
