This hotel is specifically for long term stays not nightly ones i paid 60,000 Yen for 30 days here in Nagoya and it was the cheapest accommodation available for a foreigner. Not to mention i didnt have to spend so much on food since the hotel feeds you for free. There is 1 in Kyoto as well and i only paid 50,000 Yen for 30 days there.

Same here. Found an apartment in Kyoto online for 50k yen and that’s for 30 days. Just emailed them and met the agent on the day and handed me the keys. I couldn’t believe how easy the transaction was and the apartment was nice, clean and in a convenient location. Bus stop was literally in front of the apartment and there were 3 konbinis around it. 😊

That's like $500/month right? Shit, that's cheap. These places aren't a lot smaller than the room I rent. And that doesn't have food or utilities. Or booze.

If you make American wage, then spend it in almost any country in the world, you'll live like a king. As an Asian immigrant to America, it's unfortunate most Americans don't appreciate just how lucky they are born into a country with such high income compared to the rest of the world. This is why almost everyone want to come to America to make money, because working in their own country can not afford it.
@MananaMan
@MananaMan 5 ай бұрын
@@xiphoid2011yeah that’s why everything is more expensive here, plus the living conditions are far worse than other developed countries (like healthcare)

@@xiphoid2011Double edged sword as an American I can tell you the cost of living is dramatically higher in a comparable city in Japan (tokyo to LA), while having trash healthcare that will set you back with ridiculous costs. meanwhile in Japan, no worries on healthcare, everything is cheap from housing to food to entertainment to transport, their minimum wage is enough for Tokyo, cant say the same for LA whatsoever while having a massively better quality of life

@@MananaMan Right. lol Good luck affording surgery in America. lol I went to college in England and had to have serious surgery after an accident. It cost me a total of $38 dollars and it was done by one of the best specialists in the world. If I had been in America, the exact same surgery would have been $138,000 and I would have had to make the choice to either be crippled or lose our home. America has great health care - if you're RICH. We don't have a great health care *system* - and we never will until people don't have to choose between losing everything they own or dying. Cut out the words "over 65" from Medicare, force private insurance to have to compete - and we'll be a hell of a lot stronger as a nation.

I was there just a week ago - great place, great value, super clean bathrooms. I would say the only thing I wasn't used to is the public bath lol I went in, saw a bunch of naked men, got scared and left the locker room hehehe. The free food and drinks plus massage chairs, smoking room, lounge, makes this place amazing. I guess what you can't see from the video is that everyone wears the same pajama set and so you feel like you're in a big men's club and everyone is SO quiet you can hear a pin drop. I snore pretty loud and I could hear the guy above me, so I was so conscious that I was making alot of noise that I couldn't sleep very well. Anyway, that was my experience, I'd totally do it again!

What an incredible experience. I'm saving this in my file I call Japan; my Son and I will be taking a trip and need inexpensive places to stay, so your videos are really good references for us. I thought we'd be going this December but we've both had some setbacks, my heart health needs to be fixed first, though it's nothing serious. My Son has work related things that may prevent him from travelling this December. It's disappointing but it could still happen. I can't believe that in the price of your capsule free alcoholic drinks are provided. I bet I could put away quite a bit in 90 minutes! I'm one of those unusual people who don't feel the effects of alcohol, so I can enjoy trying anything that's new to me, while I do have to keep in mind though that excessive drinking for someone with my tolerance could easily get alcohol poisoning. I'm not a huge drinker because it's too expensive in Canada. I do like the occasional cocktail and have my favourite liqueur usually in the home.

The wooden carving is very Java-esque (some hotel did this here), but a look at 1:49 it says Ubud, so the hotel must've been aiming towards Balinese style. Doesn't reallly matter too much since Java and Bali are pretty similar, with Balinese culture reflecting a pre-Islamic era Javanese culture (Hindunese/Buddhist era). The free alcohol and internet is dope though
