Tsongo lake is not for infants due to high altitude. Not worth taking the risk. And if at all you want to take them, take necessary precautions like taking oxygen etc

Thank you ☺️. January is definitely cold but not really chilly kinds. Gangtok does not get snow but you can go to changu lake to enjoy snow though I would not advise to take infact to changu lake due to high altitude. Most of the sightseeing spots are nearby

You can definitely get permit if the road is open but then you are right that at that time snow fall is more frequent and so the risk of road being closed is always there. But if you are there for a few days , chances of going to Nathula pass is much higher

I would not recommend since the lake is at 12500 feet and oxygen level is slightly less over there. What you can do is take oxygen cylinder as a precautionary measure for your child.

1st week of June is still ok but later upto July end, there is rains regularly which might prevent you from doing sightseeing properly
