Hey what a wonderful video ❤❤ - quick question, how deep is the hot springs pool? Consider we are planning for our nine year olds 😀😀

This brought back a lot of good memories. I haven’t been there is 25 years though and it’s really changed a lot for the better. They never used to have the cool ice house and they didnt have the outdoor hot tub, only the rock pool which took all ages. I wondered if they still have the cabins to rent. When I went the last time it was -40 and our hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows almost instantly got totally frosted over. We looked like yetis lol

Hi there! I love your vlog and shared it with my kids to prep them for our winter adventure to Fairbanks this year! I read some bad reviews about the accommodations at Chena Hot Springs. What did you think about the overnight stay or the food at the resort? Thanks for your info!!

Great video can you tell me exact dates you guys went we are heading the there in March. We are so confuse as to how many layers do we need???

Hi Sheeza. You guys will absolutely love visiting Chena Hot Springs in March! We enjoyed sitting in the hot springs during the cold winter. We filmed the video in December. March certainly can be quite cold in Fairbanks. I would definitely bring layers. We purchased many of our laying pieces from Walmart and Costco, because I didn't want to spend a small fortune on new clothes. There's plenty of good articles online about how to dress for the winter using a good clothes layering approach.

Awesome video, headed there in about 10 days. Question, what type of winter clothing is required?
@BagsPackedFamily3 жыл бұрын
We loved Chena Hot Springs! The temps can be pretty cold, so I would definitely bring lots of winter layers, and sunglasses. It's a cold run from the indoor pool to the outdoor pool, but it's also kind of fun! Enjoy!

Could you let me know when you both in that hot spring by yourself, where to keep the kids , because we are going next month, thank you

We actually has some friends join us, so they were kind enough to watch our kids. That said, if your kids are a little older, they could stay in the hot tubs, or indoor pool, by themselves while you enjoy the rock pool. Enjoy your trip!!

Thank you for the upload. I am flying into Fairbanks from ANC today at 3 pm ( Mon thru Wed morning ) and this is very helpful. We have booked the dog sleigh ride tomorrow at 2 pm and temp is going to be around -24F. We are staying for 2 nights and will fly out red eye flight out of Fairbanks on Wed morning. Other than that, we are just going to enjoy the hot springs.

Where were your kids while you and your wife were in the rock pool? That’s my biggest concern with kids is we most likely will stay in the tub and not be able to enjoy the rock pool.

We actually had a couple of friends join us on the trip, so they kindly watched our kids while we enjoyed the rock pool. Our kids didn’t seem to mind not going into the rock pool, but they are still relatively young.
