Hi. This is Steve and Lee. We recently moved to Tavira from the Northeast, U.S. . We stopped in " Riamar Restaurant, and tried the shrimp tacos you recommended. They were delicious. Definitely gonna be back. We let the waitress know we heard of the Restaurant from youtube and she instantly remembered the two of you. Said you ate there a bunch and enjoyed the white wine. Lol. Thanks for the recommendation.

@@Steveandlee2529 You made our morning. We laughed out loud reading this!! 😂 We definitely like the white wine! We’re really glad you liked the tacos! In addition to making our morning you also made us really crave and miss those tacos. 🤗 Congratulations on your move to Tavira!

Great video! We are also doing the slow travel life but combining it with the D7 visa for Portugal so we can obtain our Portuguese passport. We love seeing the places you’re visiting in Portugal as we will need to be in the country 8 months of the year but have no plans on settling in any one location here.
@RetiredNomadAdventures2 ай бұрын
Sounds like an amazing plan! We thought about the D7 at one point and who knows where this adventure may lead us! Maybe our paths will cross one day! 😊

You guys made it to 1000! Woohoo! Congrats! I am enjoying your videos and am hoping to follow your footsteps in a few months (I am a FT traveler, but have been cycling around the US and am heading to Europe in January)

Congrats on 1k subscribers and keeping your budget!! I love watching your channel grow. I've been noting all the small changes... the purchased hair dye, the doing your own nails. I feel like sometimes these habits while you're at home working all the time become less important when you are more relaxed and happier.
@RetiredNomadAdventures2 ай бұрын
Thanks Sarah! We certainly are relaxed and happier. I loved watching your Etsy best seller video!

New subscriber here! Good to get some tips as we look forward to getting to retire one day. Not soon enought, but some day. I had to Google Cabanas de Tavaria. Lol. Thanks for the info.

I’m new to the retirement game, but wow it’s nice! 😂 I love that you are enjoying your travel adventures while you are still working and not waiting. It’s so smart. We weren’t familiar with Cabanas either so it was a true month of really getting to know a new place.

Luckily I saw the notification for your new video. Your monthly budget of $5,000 seems very reasonable for enjoying a lot of things one would expect on a retirement slow travel journey. 👍 We were originally planning on around $2500 budget. Most likely more difficult in 4 years when we start. How much time do you set aside for travel planning each month? 🤔
@RetiredNomadAdventures2 ай бұрын
So far $5000 has been working out well for us. The time spent travel planning is tricky. We go through spurts. There can be months when we don’t do any real planning at all because it is done. Then we can spend quite a lot of time over the course of several weeks organizing and planning. When I am in full blown travel planning mode several full days can be lost to it. We typically travel plan in 6 month blocks. I am currently working on July 2025-December 2025.
@netty953424 күн бұрын
It can be done very very cheaply. I've booked a sweet apartment for $18 a night

Good video. It seems like you are doing fine with your budget. Do you think you will ever lower your budget or do you feel your budget is where you need to be?
@RetiredNomadAdventures2 ай бұрын
Hi Felicia! Our budget has been working out really well so far. I think we will stay here as long as we can. Anything we save each month, just goes into savings and can be used if we want to eventually splurge on a higher cost destination.

Do all the airbnb's have free internet? Guessing they do - every one I've stayed in has had it, but you guys are travelling much more than me.
@RetiredNomadAdventures2 ай бұрын
Yes. You can set your criteria for what you want in the Airbnb and we always select ones that have high speed internet included. :)
