Been to Japan for a total of 7 times and always had a blast, their train system is easy, gets you to where you want with no problems, maybe you might need to travel using a guide or sorts, don’t need a PhD but maybe some grey matter 😂.

Use your smart phone GPS to know where to go, what cities are next with train. I wasnt confused by using the trains. There are lots of English translations.

If you have such trouble traveling in Japan, you should not leave home.

I just went to 9 other countries and had no problems and they were all cheaper. Maybe not every country is for everyone. I prefer simple and cheap. Sorry

@@OffgridSecrets we paid vor 2 Persons 14 days 940€ for the railpass in germany we paid 2 Tickets for Hannover to Frankfurt am Main 350 km 140€ without seat reservation. germany per Kilometer 0,4€/km, japan 2600km 0,36€/km and the trains in japan are in time. I think japan is cheap for traveling with the Train and it is very clean.

@Nyax72 it was expensive and confusing. Indonesia and Vietnam are 100x better and cheaper.

@@OffgridSecrets Lmao you are expecting Southeast Asia price level in the world fourth largest economies? Good luck!

i dont know if people are aware that japan is a rich country they arent southeast asians and spain-italy that beg for tourists to stay alive as economy. stop this entitlement of demanding english to make YOUR life easier, learn the basics 😂 or hire tour guides 😂

nah, tourists aren't welcome, anywhere

@@stakamaka sounds like an education problem. Tourists provide and bring a lot of money and business to the locals. Making them unwelcome is asking for your economy to collapse

Well I give the truth when I travel if I found it confusing and expensive then I stand by that. I still believe the average tourist would struggle in Japan

I've never heard of a country being not 'user friendly' before or saying one of the most advanced nations on earth isn't advanced enough! I would guess with all those signs, all the directions it would be super 'user friendly' if you understand Japenese, even a little. Plus a lot of the signs are also in English as well, including the rapidly rotaing train signs. Considering the vast amount of people in Japan are not English speakers, the English signs are there only for tourists If you used google lens, you could have translated most of the signs in real time and saved a lot of time and bother

Ya it was my bad I didn’t have wifi the whole world trip. Made things harder
@leredditcommander8208Ай бұрын
there is a big problem. Apparently, the train time tables are copyrighted or some BS like that, so hyperdia (which was the most common way for tourists to look up for train times) went down, the tables are all wrong now. Try google maps, its not so efficient. Instead you have to use one of the local apps, which are all in japanese. Japan is also far from being the "most advanced nation", very very far. For sure, their trains are awesome and their prototype of stuff is good, but other than that they are stuck in 2004. And they have been in 2004 since 1988. Lots of stuff going backwards there, thanks to the systematic "old person is always the superior" way of life. Source: I speak japanese, have spent A LOT of time there, have friends there, but i would never live long time there. Even the dominican republic is better than living there.

I had the same experience couple of years ago. Their train system is extremely confusing and English signs and maps are rare, and just like you said Japan is certainly not user friendly
