The quality of everything is Japan is extremely good. When you consider the quality, and the Japanese economy itself (instead of thinking in other money), everything feels like the perfect price. Like vending machines are cheaper. But 150¥ feels like $1.50 even if it's not. But in America those cheap machines are rare now. Average is $2.50, but drinks are also larger. Trains are so cheap. But in America, I can't go as many places or as far. Not for this cheap not this fast. Maybe the Greyhound bus is same price. But for city travel in America, you have to take RideShare, taxi, or bus. And the bus is slow and doesn't go everywhere. I'm on vacation in Osaka right now and from our coast hotel (SuminoeKouen) to Osaka station is 280¥ round trip. However one day we were out late, and I didn't check what time the trains stop. We had to take a taxi to the room. Same distance as 280¥ train = 7710¥ taxi 😭 But it makes sense! Taxi is the only expensive thing so far. Even for amusement and tourist things, like at Universal Studios. We paid 2800¥ for 2 slices of pizza, 1 small clam chowder, and 1 medium Coke. Something like that at large brand name American park or event would be $30 *minimum*. More like $50 in reality. Because it's a special event or park. And my friend is finding games and accessories a lot cheaper than America. This country is crazy impressive. Literally my only active complaint is no trash cans lolol. But I don't even notice or am bothered by trash in my bag and everything is so damn clean. Oh and no paper towels in bathrooms, half the time no dryer either !?! lol Japan has faults like any country and anyone. But they are not obvious faults and there are virtually zero daily problems. 日本は最高だぜ!!
