Welcome to Hawaii ! ...want to just say the proper pronunciation for the capital of Hawaii is broken down like this: Ho - no - lu - lu (hoe-know-lou-lou) - no 'a' in the word, so do not pronounce like the famous town on Maui (Hana). Tip: when in Hawaii, do as the Hawaiians do ... we do not call flip flops by that word, but call that kind of footwear "slippers' ... and in rather local pidgin english, we call it 'slippahs'.
