Thanks for the video, Arsen. Using the MRT and BTS is so much easier. You get the luxury of speed and no traffic jams! I always arrive late at night from my overseas flight and haven't had the opportunity to use those services from the airport. But otherwise I have for other trips and want to get very comfortable using them when I move to Thailand next month, if everything goes smoothly.

Will be moving to Hua Hin in October! I just got back from my first trip to Thailand and fell in love! They have a Burger King there with seating for customers. Their Impossible Whopper is strange but good. Recommended!

I love how the young men and women hand write your name on these big paper signs. There are sometimes hundreds of them and all in beautiful handwriting. We arrived in the middle of the night and it took us a while to find ours. The young lady sitting next to the sign then called in our hotel shuttle for us. So if you booked a hotel shuttle, look for the hand written signs 🙂🙏🏼

actually, i took those public taxis on my first trip to thailand and sure enough, he didn't want to turn on the meter. I had to give him a 50baht tip (on top of the 50baht airport charge) to convince him to put on the meter. I would suggest using grab only. BTW, much thanks for providing the location of the grab pickup point, i didn't know where it was!

Welcome the rain to Thailand. I am preparing to travel there on 7th to 12th June, first one day to Bangkok and on 9th June will be traveling over by train to Hua hin until 12th June there and then take another train back to Bangkok to Bang Sue and DMK airport for my departure back to Singapore. This will be my first-time plan to travel to Hua Hin, I hope the trains both departure and arrive to/from Bangkok and Hua Hin are in this new Bang Sue train station correctly and not at Hua Lamphong old train station.

Mate, you were lucky with the public transport. I was in Bangkok last week and the BTS, MRT, and airport train were all packed every time I used it. They stopped me getting in one train at a BTS because it was so full and had to wait for the next train. On the other hand I would never pay 7000 baht for express immigration. I might have been lucky, but both times I used BKK I was out within minutes. I think they are getting that right now.

I get the fast track now,we fly from London Gatwick and when we arrive we have a buggy car with person and they take us to the fast track passport control and we just walk straight through with the as they sort the passport.We still have to wait for our bag at the baggage reclaim but it saves the long wait! Waiting to go the other way,it can take an hour or so.Worth the money which is only I think 5000bht.
