Doumo arigato gozaimasu Rion-san 🙇🏻♀️ Now, I miss japan like a hundredfolds 😭 Eating ekiben on shinkansen, and getting vanilla ice cream from the train vendor lady. And sitting on the left side of the shinkansen when it's still day light from osaka to tokyo, hoping to catch a glimpse of mt fuji, which I have never been lucky to the last time visiting japan... Heck I even want to see that oversized luggage unreserved jr pass' travelers scrambling to give my way when going to the toilet on shinkansen... Sadly, those already seem like some good old days... Please keep the travel updates Rion-san and hope you will always be happy and healthy...

I had a discussion about the pros and cons of Shin Kansen vs airplane with my pilot friend, since he works out of Kansai. If you ride the shin Kansen from Osaka to Tokyo you actually 1. save time, since the Bus/Train Kansai to Osaka and Narita to Tokyo is 1 hour each way! ( 2 Hrs) 2. the airport 1 hr pre boarding time too. (1.5 hrs to be safe) 3. Shin Kansen drops you right off in downtown Osaka and Tokyo. Shinkansen 2 hrs 30 mins Airplane 1 hrs 45 mins (add the 2 hrs and 1.5 hrs = actually 5 hrs 15 mins) The shinkansen ticket will cost a little more but the 3 hr saving and that you can explore the station until departure is a pro. If you fly the Low Cost Carriers (LCC) out of Kansai you are stuck in Terminal 2 which has nothing other than 1 duty free shop and a convenience store.
