I am a local and my favorite resort is snowbasin i highly recommend looking at going there if you want to get away from all the traffic and they always have parking and the parking is free the only downside is they dont have lodging but you can stay in ogden or wolfcreek area its a really great resort.

Thanks for the tips! I definitely want to go back and check snowbasin out! It looks BEAUTIFUL! Does it typically stay much less crowded than the cottonwoods?

nice wide ranging great advice there are grocery stores in PC too if you are staying on that side of the mountain range - taking an Uber from the airport is an option but so are shuttles ...that might make sense if you are in a ski in/out place or close enough to walk to the slopes - I've enjoyed having a vehicle and went the Turo route to find something super perfect that I could both pickup and leave at the airport. I'm partial to experiencing the all natural snow immense area of Powder Mountain and the epic runs at Snow Basin (including the Olympic downhill runs) ...we saved by getting a hotel near those two in Ogden ...then relocated to PC so ski there for a few days

Thanks for checking it out! I appreciate it! Definitely! I wanted to cover park city and the Ogden area more but I have to go back for those haha. Sweet! I just learned PC had Ubers that run back and forth so it’s definitely going to make that one more accessible! And I also just recently learned about Turo and we are going to use it this season on our travels! Definitely way cheaper than a rental car company! Sounds like an awesome trip! I want to come back to north so bad. Now that I’ve been to Utah I’m hooked. Powder mountain has been a dream place I’ve wanted to go for quite some time 🙏🏻

Last year was the year! Not very likely that this year will come close to the snowfall totals from last year.

@@TheGweedMan I’m very curious how it goes. Last year was absolutely insane and I felt super blessed to get to experience just a small taste of it

Good morning, first off great video! I'm a little overwhelmed trying to plan a first time snowboarding trip for my teenage kids & myself. We are looking at either Utah or Colorado, can you give us advice on where to stay & which mountain would be best, we are all first timers. I appreciate your time.

Thanks for checking it out! So I’ve been to both Colorado and Utah and love both. Personally I like Utah better but you can’t go wrong with either. My personal favorite thus far in Colorado would be Beaver Creek, I think it’s an awesome family friendly resort, you can stay in Beaver creek which has a lovely village or in Edwards Colorado which is right down the road and saves you a lot of money. In Utah my Favorite so far is solitude, and I’d definitely stay in the village here. It’s a little more expensive that way but it keeps you from having to deal with the traffic in the cottonwoods and gives you prime access to their early chairlifts, and legendary Utah snow. The best place to find lodging at either destination is vrbo.com/affiliate/fTPA200 and Airbnb will have better deals as well. Let me know anyway I can help or be of assistance 😁 both these resorts have awesome terrain, great snow, fun village, and great for families

Really great information. Thank you. Does each resort have a bus that you can take from the airport if one is staying resort side?
@BoardsBikesAndHikesАй бұрын
Thanks for checking it out! It depends which resort you are going to but you’ve got several different shuttle options. As well as I know park city you can take an Uber to. If you just google SLC to whichever resort you’re headed there’s quite a few choices for each😁

I see you posted this a month ago. If you are still planning your trip, don't go to ParkCity. I've been riding all the Utah resorts for 17 years. PC is overpriced, full of choke points, and tons of lame runs. Go to Alta if you Ski, go to Snowbird if you don't suck, go to Brighton if you are cheap, go to Solitude if you don't want a crowd, and Sundance if you are pretentious. Don't go to Basin or Powder, simply because we the locals don't want tourists.
