We met our daughter when her foster family went on a spring vacation without her, we were only supposed to have her for respite care for the week but We had the best time with her and she ended up moving into our home and 6 months later we got to adopt her.

I'm so sad for little Tristan, but so happy you can help heal his inner child and take him to Disney! As a teacher I think of the students I get for one or two years as MY KIDS, and most of them even have full loving families when they leave my care. I could NEVER imagine a child living with me and being a part of my every day life, and not wanting to include them on my vacation! Hugs to you all!

This really hit me hard. I was a foster child when I was 10. My foster family promised to take me with them on their family Disney trip with their 2 kids. On the car ride to the Disneyland trip, they stopped at one of their family members home and left me there. It was extremely traumatizing to be left with more strangers by myself and with a broken promise they made me. Now that I'm 41, it still hurts my heart to this day. I can't believe that there are people out there like this. As a child, I was already traumatized by being ripped out of my family's care. Then strangers playing with my emotions. So, I definitely know how Tristan felt. It's heartbreaking 💔.

I went through a similar situation while in foster care. In the mornings when we would wake up for breakfast “my foster parents” would make homemade food for their bio kids and have us foster kids eat cereal.

I freaking love you Aaron. ❤️🤣 Pro tip on packing. Start a list on your phone right when you book your trip. That way every time you think of something to pack, you immediately put it in the list. Then when you pack, it’s way easier. You just check everything off before you leave the house, and all set! Your family brings me so much joy! I love this trip you took. I absolutely love that Tristan has returned. He deserves all this love so much. ❤️

As someone who grew up right by Disneyland, has gone a bazillion times, and who still LOVES Disneyland at almost 40, it made me cry hearing that Tristan got left behind during foster family trips and is getting to go to Disneyland for the first time! Makes me sooo happy knowing he’s getting to do stuff with you guys that he didn’t get to do as a kid ❤

I've heard that the foster care system has laws about not taking foster children out of state, or away from home for too long, or not being able to miss court-appointed meetings. Maybe that was the case with Tristan's other foster families not taking him on vacation with them? Just a thought. If it was their choice, however, they didn't need to be foster parents. Crystal. We did foster care for 2 brothers. We had a Disney trip plan before the boys. The boys had some Behavioral problems that might of had asked to leave Disneyland at any moment. Our counselor said until they knew how to be a part of the family that we should leave them at home. We did but the next summer we took both boys’

All of your kids hit the jackpot in the parent lottery! Hannah's purse is like Mary Poppin's bag. She just kept pulling more and more things out of it to show Holly. Most Din Tai fungs are located in shopping malls. My family loves Din Tai fung. We love the soup dumplings and the shrimp fried rice. We also love the spicy wontons. Just fyi Downtown Disney has the first stand alone Din Tai Fung.

it's called xiao long bao. and din tai fung is a great restaurant. we have that here in the philippines also and it is one of my favorite restaurants ever. i love eating there. so glad you guys got to experience that. also, here in the philippines din tai fung restaurants can only be found in malls. i haven't seen one outside of a mall yet.

I've been to Walt Disney World in Florida before, but I've never been to Disneyland in California before. I like McDonald's breakfast foods. I occasionally eat 2 sausage biscuits and "either 1 or 2 hash brown patties". Sometimes, I squeeze honey barbecue sauce on my patties. Sometimes, I squeeze ketchup and mustard on my patties in stripes. I started liking the Airbnb resorts, which should be better than the hotels. I like Hilton Garden Inn. I usually went to the malls many, many years ago, especially in my childhood, but I don't go to 'em. I could order myself 2 corn dogs and a serving of fries at the food court so I could top 'em with ketchup and mustard. I only shop at the individual stores.

I was a foster parent and took my kids to Disney. I adopted the two kids. But if u had not been able to I would have still taken to Disney. I never went to Disney as a child but took my kids and went. I also went to Disney by my self after I graduated from college it was my gift to my self.

That is heartbreaking about Tristan, in my family (3 have kids) if we go on vacation everyone's invited but especially all kids are (recently became 5 after 2 recent nephews, I one and he's the oldest, but everyone's included) and at one point my sister actually took my nephew in as a 'foster' when she was young with a new baby and getting married, but nobody left behind in this family! Love you could make this happen for him!

The Del Amo Mall back in the 80's used to be so much nicer.. unfortunately it isnt the same as it used to be, but i guess most aren't these days. Nice to know they have a nice restaurant in there now.

It's so nice to be able to offer Tristan the experience to go to Disneyland nearing his 30s. Not to defend the foster families/homes that didn't include him in their vacations, but perhaps there was a legal restriction to travel or a problem with identity/birth papers for minors? (As was the case with Aubrey). Nevertheless it's always painful to be excluded or left behind. Though it might also happen with bio family. E.g. when you have a disabled family member. But it looks like Tristan can catch up now. And the young adults can reconnect with their inner child. From the footage of the dishes in the restaurant, I think it is a Bao Dim Sum house. Cooking different small portions of Chinese/Asian cuisine comparable with Spanish tapas. The name refers to the genre of dish/snack. I'm sure you have these in Arizona, mostly at the Asian market. An extra girl ? = surprise guest! = Max's GF 😊
