If the left is the gather, followed by a left again without a pivot, i think it's a violation before the steps due to the same foot rule?

It is . There’s no such thing as a gather step. That’s bs made up and got accepted probably bc people did it so much . The rule always been two steps after picking up dribbles to avoid these vary issues. Weak lazy generation move the goal post to accommodate lack of discipline.

He doesn't gather until the second left foot step though. So it wasn't illegal at that part of the play. If he gathered on the first left step, then yes, it would've been illegal already at that point

You can't jump from same foot to same foot, it's a travel because of that. He jumped back with left foot and landed with left foot again before the other foot landed.

I understand what you're saying, but in this instance that part of the play wasn't illegal. Landing consecutively on the same foot is illegal after the ball has been gathered, but it happens before the gather on this play.

After catching the ball starts walking now centers should just should take a spin with three steps ann then shoot or dunk. That's what NBA wants now

NBA - don't give a fck about rules😂if they judge how they have to - Draymond will be ejected in every second game,and a lot of "poster dunks "will be call as offensive foul.

Gather on both feet, travels with 1st step, cuz this is reestablishing the pivot... then proceeds with 2 more steps😮 That's a lame play having nothing to do with the game of basketball and its completely beyond me, haw it's tolerated for years now.
