I would like to know that for VAT refund, they charge separately 8.5% or whatever amount they mention, they add 8.5% to the price of any iPhone and we get 8.5% as VAT. Suppose it is a phone worth ₹ 1 lakh then we have to pay only this much or add 8.5% more to it and pay.

You pay the full amount as billed just like how it is in India. Before you buy you have to ask the shop if they provide tax bill for vat refund and if they do then carry it and get a refund from the airport at the tourist vat or tax refund counter before departing for back home.
