There is something extra special about the efforts of walking and hiking, that takes experiencing nature to the next level. Seeing what’s revealed over the rise or around the next bend, brings a certain satisfaction like nothing else. Thank you for your efforts in bringing such beauty to the small screen. I never knew Texas held such amazing scenery, this is a really wonderful video.

Big Bend is so beautiful, I’ve only been there a few times and I’m a native Texan. Just remember, this is rattlesnake season so be careful. That’s why a lot of people go hike in the winter, one less thing to look out for.

I'm having PTSD. I backed into a cactus at the other side of balanced rock. Taking a selfie. 😮 You're right Robert, always a good idea to look back. 😂 That ride back on that road was rough. Given that I had thousands of blind prickly pear bristles where they shouldn't be. Confession! That was the day Robert arrived and why I didn't drive over to the live stream. Sorry I missed you. Would rather have missed that cactus though

I hope you have fully recovered from that cactus encounter.

Dear Robert, your videos from Big Bend are truly OUTSTANDING!! I have been watching your travel videos for a couple of years and never before have I seen you so giddy as you have displayed while visiting the mountains of Big Bend. Being that I know the area like the back of my hand, I can assure you that the you and your lovely wife will always be welcome there, as the people of the border region of West Texas tend to be very kind and most hopsitable. I cannot wait to see your next video and your visit to Boquillas del Carmen!! Thank you for sharing with us you excellent travel videos, Mountain Man!! God bless you and your wife in all of your travels. Les mando un fuerte abrazo! Paul Villalba

I have been following your progress with the drone very carefully captain and I have to say this episode you reached your optimum potential. Using a camera is a huge part of the success of a travel vloggers reputation and you my friend have hit the highest level of operation. Great shots descending down the climb with the 360 degree views and the tracking system on yourself. I think you have made it to professional level status! Well done!

Those rock formations reminded me of a story I saw yesterday, some knuckleheads vandalized dome rock formations in Utah a few days ago. Some people really need to stay at home for their own safety. Sorry for the rambling. I am in love for this park, I will do my best to visit it next time I am in Texas.

Hey Robert, it's been more than 20 years since I've hiked those trails, thanks for taking me back. The views from the Lost Mine Trail are just spectacular! The 360 camera is always a neat effect (did you say you were thinking about getting the newer model?) The Balanced Rock Trail looks like it could've been transplanted from Joshua Tree. at 29:00 I thought that might've been Clay Henry the famous beer drinking goat, but it looks more like a burro 🙂 Isn't the taxidermied Clay Henry inside the Theater up by the stage? Looking forward to seeing the rest of your Big Bend adventures in the next episode. Until then, happy trails!
