Thankyou for going through Cartevena. I am told I had family from there in the early 1800s. Ileana may have to change shoe type when doing a lot of walking. Even changing glasses helped me. So glad nothing is broken..

Yikes for your wife! I'm hoping she's had a full recovery and is doing better...the second occurrence in a year for you guys! (I think you fell last year?) Be careful out there! And another beautiful adventure in Spain despite all the setbacks...you guys are troopers...thank you for all the years of content I have loved and enjoyed...you were the FIRST to show me life on the road and now I have a van and am starting van life very soon...just a couple of weeks left!

I am glad to hear that Illi is feeling better. I think that this is my favorite Spain video, so far. I like the scenery and slower pace even in the towns, as compared to Madrid. I got a chuckle out of road winding up in a dead-end. Imagine trying to back Mini-tinnie down that hill. We all wind up in an odd spot sometime.

It’s been so fun to see Spain from this carefree traveling perspective, narrow streets and all. The coastlines are just spectacular, especially when viewed from the air-thanks for that! Again, so sorry about Ily’s fall, but even though it put a kink in the trip, it didn’t seem to affect the onscreen outcome of this wonderful series, which has been a treasure trove of practical information regarding budget/freelance travel abroad. Glad you finally got to dip your toes in the sand and the sea; beautiful sights today, and all that amazing food… yum!😋

Great upload Robert! I was in Guardamar and Santa Pola last month, like these places a lot. You really had some sandy skies there. Happens often with the Sahara not too far away.

Hola Roberto! Driving along the beach in Alicante and seeing the curving overpass reminds me a whole lot of the PCH coming into Santa Monica. The beach at Benidorm looks so nice but you can tell the water is cold--there's hardly anyone out in it!

Omg , Did you walk from Finestrat to Benidorm ? Didn’t know it was connected. LOL . I was there more than a decade . Love Cala de Finestrat . The beach is beautiful indeed. Nice memories .

You never mention the local custom of shutting down during the afternoons. Maybe that is why things seem slow to you during certain hours. They do it in Italy and Portugal also.

Rig would have been even more expensive to ship, and it would not be compatible with European infrastructure... and we never buy travel medical insurance.
