Congrats! I owned two Heritage Classics, a 1999 & a 2008, and both were awesome rides. I put over 60K miles on them and never had a problem. Rode them to Colorado, thru the Rocky Mountains, thru Montana, down to Florida beaches and to Detroit then east thru Canada and down the east US coast back home to Indiana. Wish I could have kept the ‘08 but wife said only 1 motorcycle allowed. Traded that bike for a 2018 Road Glide, which is also proving to be an awesome ride. Take care and ride safe out there!

Just rode through Tennessee this week on the way home from Laughlin. Stopped in at Bootlegger HD in Knoxville to dry off. Saw the huge banner of Tall hanging out front. Just thought that was cool. That is a very nice looking bike you found. OK first things riders triangle. You need taller bars. You need the seat to go back a couple of inches and you need to get the floorboards to go forward and out as well as getting extended foot shifter and foot break so at least that’ll get your triangle a lot more comfortable for your height.

Can not speak for the “older” Heritages but the newer 2018+ I love them! I went from a 2000 ultra to 2020 Heritage and have not been disappointed at all, with one exception the stock seat leaves a little to be desired on those longer runs 400+ a day. Love your vids Tall! I'm a new and happy owner of a 2017 FLSTC that I bought a year ago at age 70 as I needed a shorter, lighter and lower bike than the one i had been riding for 14 years. Looking forward to what you will do on this build. Shiny side up!

Tall, you got me feeling nostalgic as well. I've always wanted a Fat Boy but went with my 2020 RGS and I have not been disappointed. Maybe next year I will add to the stable? For your Heritage, definitely need to push those floorboards out and down. Being a 6'5" rider myself, I know you're looking at seat options as that has always been the game changer with my bikes while "traveling tall". Nice ride brother!

05 Heritage Softail Classic was my first motorcycle. It was a great bike. The only regret that I have is I should have changed the bars and didn't.
