Learn How To Ride A Motorcycle! This Is The Hardest Part To Teach!

How to ride a motorcycle for beginners. It's my nephew's second lesson and it's time to switch gears. I'm not sure how to teach someone how to know when it's time for them to change gears. The motorcycle doesn't have an RPM tach or shift light and that's good because I don't want him to depend on it. It's important for him to learn to shift by the sound and feel of his motorcycle. Today we learn upshifting and downshifting. Join us for lesson two.
If you're interested in learning how to ride a motorcycle I suggest you take a motorcycle course to be properly trained by a certified instructor.

I watched video #1 and this one. Both are absolutely great. i am a beginner. i have my endorsement, but i am always learning. the only thing i would tell a new rider i dont think he did was drive with your eyes.Where you look, your bike will go.I understand its a parking lot he was riding on, but once on the road its very important not to fixate.I stressed that to my step son to keep head up and where you look your bike will go.He ended up hitting a tree and broke his shoulder,he apologized,i said honey we make mistakes and we learn from them.❤

I shift by speed. At 20 mph shift to second. At 30 shift to 3rd . At 40 shift to 4th. At 50 shift to 5th. Down shift under the speed. For example slowing past 50 shift to 4th etc. with a blurp of the throttle each time.

I’m definitely still getting a Harley street Glide or a Ultra. I’m in Knoxville, Tennessee. Greg had said that I caught on fast tho. I’m still not scared !!! Never scared!!! Cam

Great way to learn and great advise. Take him for a ride on your bike and have him listen to when you make the shifts. The best lessons I learned in motor school were look where you want to go, cover the clutch always and keep your head level with the horizon. So awesome to watch.
