Still listening to this in 2024 and still in awe of how great each of these artists were and are. To have them perform together for a short time as the Travelling Wilburys was pure music gold. Despite not having released new material much less enjoyed a “Hit” song in many years, his concerts invariably sold out and I think that speaks volumes.

This has got to be one of the best recordings ever made. The music. The lyrics, but above all the sound of those great voices. When Roy Orbison comes in, I just think you'll never hear a voice like his again, then shortly after when the rest join in, that harmony is beautiful. It's a song that you could listen to over and over.

The way this band was formed was so organic. It was just three of them chilling ( Harrison, Lynne and Orbison ) around a meal, then they go to Bob Dylan's studio because George was going to record a song there, but suddenly he remembers his guitar is at Tom Petty's house so he goes there and while he picks it up he invites Tom over. Over time George Harrison has become my favorite Beatle. He was a silent force within the legendary band and he brought people together like no one else.

Ecc 9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. No jamming either--this is notwithstanding either the first or second resurrection--the second means eternal death--the first means eternal life in the new earth. But to have this, one must make Jesus Christ first, last and best in everything--none of these people were Christians that I know of. We have Hare Krishna George Harrison (My Sweet Lord) and I know nothing about the rest of them. However, Jesus said, "Take up your cross and Follow Me" meaning one gives everything to Him, leaving most rock-n-rollers completely out of the picture...it's not worth it. His son, Wesley, sounds exactly like him. He is the surviving son of Roy and Claudette. He’s got so much talent. Just like Roy.

Thank you God for putting me here to witness such amazing talent in my lifetime. This is what singing from the heart sounds like. Flawless from one octave to the next. All this talent in the same room. What a treasure!!

I can't memorize lyrics, carry a tune, or play ANY kind of instrument. But I know what beautiful music is and thank God for giving them a gift all of us can enjoy.
