A public house has the legal right to refuse to serve anyone they choose . This law dates back to the time when many people sold beer in their own homes to the public ( hence the name public house ) . There's absolutely nothing you can do about it, and frankly, it's not worth upsetting yourselves about it . Nothing worse than giving your money to people who obviously despise you . By arguing, you're just proving the man to be right . The best way is for the most well-spoken of you to go in first , order 1 pint and a couple of halves. Say your wife and sister are going to be along in a couple of minutes. Then, the other two fellas come in and slowly sup the beer in a quiet corner of the bar . Once you've got the first drink . . . after 12 - 15 pints each , you can do the usual and smash the place up or at least cause a fight or two .

@JI7NKJ The problem is I've been banned from my local pub because of the actions of travellers who I don't even know! I drank there for years and once some travellers fell out with the locals and when I went back on the weekend the landlord banned me because of my culture. That was a few years ago now and I'm still banned purely because I'm from the traveller community.
