Great work! Not easy hiking, painting and filming in such heat. Thanks for sharing with us

No naked sunbathers this time? What a relief! This looks like another planet. A fine result.

Yes although I'm sure they would have got a great sun tan here haha! The scenery is vastly different to anywhere I've been before. I'm happy you like the painting :)

Indeed I did ! You did well to achieve such good tonal balances in such bright sunlight! I assume the straw hat helped and was not jus a homage to Van Gogh!! @@GeorgeFrederickThomas
Aww, love the painting!! Such an alien landscape to what we have in the UK, wonderful.

The Saguaro cactus is found only in the Sonoran desert, only in Northern Mexico and the South of Arizona. Tuscon has a most excellent Sonoran Desert Museum, a great place to visit to learn more of the Flora and Fauna of the Sonoran Desert.

That's interesting, thanks for the info. I'd never realised cacti that big existed! The landscapes are so different to those I'm used to in the UK. I've been finding Arizona a really inspiring place to paint!

And Mr GFT, a most excellent composition!! The light and shadows in Arizona are most unique to me,.. something about the desert sky.. BTW, I absolute adore the English countryside, and could spend a lifetime painting landscape in UK. @@GeorgeFrederickThomas
