Mate - you did really well in really adverse conditions. When people are under phenomenal stress, as you were in this video; exhausted, confused, vulnerable and bombarded with complicated information in an alienating environment, you see their true colours. You were polite, flexible, and willing to accept help and advice. Absolutely saw you in a new light. Vast respect to you feller.

Pack you stuff and go to Manali, Himachal Pradesh stay there for a week. Catch the fresh air and then go to Delhi. Board the plane and leave. That would be a better Indian experience for you.

Wow! That was so kind of those guys to help you out. Indians are generally very kind. If you ask for help they will help you. The South is much more friendier than the North, the reason being is that more people in the North are desperately poor. Welcome to Incredible India!

These hotels in India should’ve mentioned in the booking platforms if they don’t accept foreigners. I noticed in other travel vlogs where in India there are hotels that don’t accept foreigners.
@farandbeyond4 ай бұрын
Yeah but they showed me their settings, they had no foreign guests turned on, so it wasn't really their fault, it was the fault of Agoda! I got a full refund in the end anyway ...

Seems this way in every 3rd world country. When you go to your hotel to check in they dont have your details and have no clue about you staying. Its another easy scam to get you to pay again because they know you need somewere to stay its happened to me multiple times aswell. They just act dumb about it its unreal.

I would never pay a second time! They just operate differently and it's not efficient!

You cannot stay in some hotels as a non-citizens. The police have to be approved of the hotel to allow foreigners. Most small towns you will have this problem. In the tourist area you will find plenty of hotels for tourists.
@farandbeyond5 ай бұрын
Yes I know that now haha

@@farandbeyondany time you go off the tourist trail you will have a problem finding a hotel that is approved by the police to allow foreigners. These rules came about after the terror attacks in Mumbai. It may not feel reasonable or logical but they have their reasons for doing it whatever they are. And sometimes it still does not make sense what the government does. 😅😅😅.

It didn't bother me once I knew about it and could investigate before booking, I didn't know the reason though! But now I do thanks to you, so thank you! 🤙🏼

I was going to say that could be a scam. But thankfully I read the comment they refunded your money. I don't know how hotel system works.

There is both good and bad people everywhere. In India I was approached by sketchy money exchange people, seen the rickshaw and taxi fraud myself, was approached by people asking for money by taking me to a shitty hotel. But this hotel guy was telling you the truth. But they seemed good people

Bro, you got ripped. Parking is 100 rupees. And I guess you are staying somewhere near City Centre 2 or VIP Road. The maximum fare should have been somewhere around 200-300 excluding parking charge of 100. Use Uber.
@farandbeyond5 ай бұрын
Yeah bro I knew I got ripped, I usually use apps like Uber, grab or in driver to get from A to B or at least establish a price, but in this case senario id just arrived and had no SIM card so I couldn't use any apps.... thanks for letting me know

@@farandbeyond Yeah i totally understand. The cities are loud, unhygienic and chaotic. We have a lot to develop. Currently real beauty of India lies in its places which have retained their nature and culture like Kerala, North East, Himachal, Jammu & Kashmir is so beautiful, Rishikesh, Hampi, etc. I would never recommend my friends to visit cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, etc. I myself live far from there😂

@PradhanmantriBruhh bro I was in Kolkata, Varanasi, deli and Amritsar, I got super sick but what effected me the most was getting scammed and treated like I'm a money printing machine. @@farandbeyond That's true, the thing is you have to know the local price in order to do firm negotiation. They will quote high price, you stick to your price and leave they will come chasing and give it to you at fair price.
