WOW!!! I have so many questions - what brought you there, what was the food like, how was the overall experience on the ground?

It was truly an incredible experience. I’d always wanted to visit this country and see it for myself. I had the chance to go with a few guys, and it didn’t disappoint. The landscapes were some of the most stunning I’ve ever seen, the people were incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely amazing. I genuinely wish this country all the best for a bright and prosperous future.

@@offzawall 100% agree they've had a rough decade or so. The middle east has always been a place I've been to uneasy to travel to but so curious to try the food, meet the locals, and see the vast expanse of desert, mountains, fields. The closest I've been is to Qatar and Dubai and the food there was lovely also.

All of the Middle Eastern countries are actually very welcoming. Unfortunately a lot of negativity comes from the media

@@offzawall yes I can see that. Beautiful places and people smeared by the news.n I've found that to be the same thing in asia as well. I've been living out here for the past 10 years now.

Construction was ongoing before 2021 but came to a halt when the Taliban regained control after the US withdrawal. Sadly, the scaffolding remains today, but no further progress has been made.

There is no reconstruction for Buddhist statues, cry about it.
